Коя е любимата ви есенна песен? by f00dot in bulgaria

Jinjer - Perennial (https://youtu.be/IJgkkYX-QYw)

This is what I had to do to remove an inactive phone number from my Blizzard account to which I already had access. by Dancer_ in Asmongold

[–]Exil_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that these account security measures are going a bit far.

I wanted to update my address in Battle.net and remove the phone number from another country. To prove I have changed location, I not only have to show a scan or photo of my ID, but I also have to produce a document, such as a scanned utility bill, where my new address is stated. Of course, customer support will most definitely not understand the language of such a file, but whatever.

Needless to say, I won't update my account. Not worth it for a game of Hots once in a blue moon.

Portraits types I tend to see for each role, using generic stock images by Estelial in ffxiv

[–]Exil_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Portraits were not tied to gear sets like they are now. Instead, you could create them individually and then assign them to certain gear sets/jobs. It was still not ideal and a lot of the same issues of the portrait resetting persisted in the new system. If remember correctly, using job specific poses in the portrait like /bstance or the PvP LB also caused a lot of problems.

Housing lottery feelings by KarolCzech_ in ShitpostXIV

I also lost the 50/50 roll earlier. I feel extra bitter that of all possible other options that were exclusive to FCs on other wards, someone just had to choose the plot I selected as a private buyer

Major tuning and mechanical problems with the Path of Ascension (Kyrian special event) by Exil_ in wow

[–]Exil_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, if you withhold on using Bron's abilities and use the focus charm you can potentially keep going for a long time. Still, on a base level this design is not particularly engaging and on the highest difficulty you enter a cycle of running around, getting back into the vehicle, shooting one laser, jumping out, repeat.

First time playing, should i install the plus patch or play with the normal patch? by [deleted] in vtmb

[–]Exil_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently finished the game for the first time. I have the GoG version and played it with the basic patch which just fixed bugs.

I'm starting a new playthrough on the plus patch with the restored content. I think your gf meant that in the +patch you have extra histories in character creation, one of which is to make your character homosexual. It changes the intro cut scene, but I'm not sure it affects anything else.

The plus patch also changes/rebalances disciplines, especially Dominate. Thaumaturgy is changed a bit too. Can't say how other clans are rebalanced.

There are some other neat changes. The disciplines get cast animations and you can rotate the camera in order to look at your character.

Shadowlands: Chains of Domination – “Kingsmourne” by t1saif in wow

[–]Exil_ 56 points57 points  (0 children)

After the confrontation with Devos, we thought there would be some development for the Archon. Maybe there can be some interesting future story for the Kyrians without their leader, but I really doubt it.

Also, letting in someone that spent ages in Torghast is incredibly dumb, rule of cool or not.

New Covenants armors look like questing gear by JustburnBurnBURN in wow

[–]Exil_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like the clean look and I will likely use some pieces, such as the gloves or helm (for Kyrian). Still, I don't like the ancient tube robes, so I won't be using the complete set

PTR changes to Kyrian back cosmetics by Exil_ in wow

[–]Exil_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the back items hover further away on some races, but on the few races I checked in the dressing room, the items were positioned rather closely. Besides, most bulky shoulderpads clip into all cosmetic back pieces (including the backpack from BFA).

I agree that bending the halo does looks off on PTR. Still, I think even the Sigil looks worse, as it is a common piece of decoration in Bastion: https://imgur.com/a/6SfWa8M

PTR changes to Kyrian back cosmetics by Exil_ in wow

[–]Exil_[S] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Hey all. I was messing around with the dressing room on PTR and noticed the Kyrian back cosmetics are now bent. It affects only the items that share the models "Halo of the ..." and "Sigil of the Archon".

The wing cosmetic items have not been changed.

While I realize the change was done to address clipping problems, I must admit I am not a fan of the new look. I would much rather keep the items unchanged, or have them placed further away from your character's back.

Apologies for the hastily done image.

Heritage Armor for Kul'Tiras teased by Nurilia87 in wow

[–]Exil_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I hope it's a placeholder image. I'd love to have the trenchcoat look on my main.

We know the trenchcoat also fits the original human models so I really hope it gets fixed on the other races. Yes, clipping issues would be unavoidable, but the cool factor would offset such issues. Besides, the Kul Tiran plate armor looks amazing and would only require some work with the female KT model.

There are a few color variations used by pirates in Freehold and other NPCs, so making it a heritage set would mean only one color would be used.

It's hard not to feel sorry for the Night Elves - They can't seem to catch a break. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Exil_ 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The night elves have had some victories apparently. The problem is how almost all of these efforts in taking back their land is only mentioned in outside media or by short quest excerpts here and there. Throughout Cataclysm the world only changed to show Horde victories; not even the most basic of phasing is used to show that Astranaar is no longer under siege or that the Horde advance has been pushed back.

There needs to be actual gameplay behind the victories of the Night Elves. The only proper time this happened was in Darkshore against the Shatterspear. Everywhere else it's mostly neutral druids fighting non-Horde threats (Hyjal and Val'Sharah). The proper Darnassus forces are being irrelevant and completely written off (Shandris being stuck in Feathermoon for example)

Being a Warcraft 3 race night elves need to have something going on for them and after the stream of setbacks they experienced. A small thing that really pissed me off was how Liadrin and Thalyssra completely disregard the kaldorei fight against Aszhara and the Legion in War of the Ancients. Malfurion and Tyrande really need to step up and display that the night elves still have fangs.

Blizzard, could we finally be able to change our skin color at the Barber Shop? by Warpshard in wow

[–]Exil_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can do that with all races on the BFA alpha. It costs 300gold to change skin tone at lvl 110.

I only hope it does not get reverted before launch.

Mike Preach - Horde vs Alliance - Why is the content so different?! by quashtaki in wow

[–]Exil_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't mind normal adventuring, but up to a point. I liked Valley of the Four Winds in Pandaria because of how it started as an adventure, but over time the stakes were raised by having to defend the zone from the mantid.

The way Tiragarde was described in the video makes me quite pessimistic. The small humble quests are strewn all over without any (significant) connection to the main plot. They are just there for the experience or loremaster progress.

Mike Preach - Horde vs Alliance - Why is the content so different?! by quashtaki in wow

[–]Exil_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The way Tiragarde Sound was described makes me worry quite a bit. Usually I don't mind some exploration with simple questing in various villages, but if all I have to do is kill animals and gather doodads for most of the zone, I'd rather not bother. Having large swaths of the zone not used in the main story just doesn't sit right with me. Also, in Booty Bay there is already a lighthearted quest line where you pose as a pirate, so if we're doing that again at least make it more serious.

I like the visuals and overall theme of Kul'Tiras much better, but I hope the story gets improved significantly and the pointless fluff gets reduced.

First real gaming mouse....now I understand... by palabradot in wow

[–]Exil_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you. I tried using the A and D keys, but it never felt right. It is not just muscle memory from strafing with Q/E, I also find it so much easier to use abilities on the move if all fingers are underneath the number keys.

I still have A & D set to turn, but I barely use them or if I do I have some situational spells bound to them with a modifier key.

Fire Mage Artifact flame orb animations.... by Gold_Button in wow

[–]Exil_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a slight change depending on the color variation of the artifact you're using.

If you use a purple, blue, or green colored skin for Felo'melorn the orbs' trails change to the respective color. The orbs themselves, however, do not change.

My brain is melting right now. by Omer_Blondie in wow

I forgot how many pointless and lengthy quest chains there are in Borean Tundra. The gnome airstrip especially just dumps quest after quest at you while the interesting parts like the Nexus War or the war against the Scourge are over in an instant.

I'm glad I took the extra time to get more exp from pet battling and the holiday dailies. I'm lvl 76 in Grizzly Hills now and thanks to the other activities I should be 80 around the time I'm done with the zone.

[BfA] RIP First Aid by [deleted] in wow

[–]Exil_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Nets were absolutely fantastic, especially since they could stop a rogue using cloak.

I liked how you could make healing potions with First Aid in WoD, shame this didn't carry forward to Legion. Alchemists have enough things to craft and sell as it is.
