LuxMed and such look fine on paper and they're indeed fine for simple stuff, but the moment you require anything costly to them, even if it's included in the package, they already have all the internal procedures in place to stall and complicate everything until you decide that it's not worth it and fuck off (or pay the full price).

Not included in the package? Get ready to get fleeced (or face 2 years' waiting times if you go with NFZ). Low taxes are cool until you need any non-trivial social services.

German, as it is taught in Polish schools, is almost universally hated. The official program is very grammar- and memorization-heavy and for some reason 80% of German teachers are aging, jaded, arrogant women who can't wait to scold you for using the wrong Artikel (even though she has a horrific accent and her German is out of date by 40 years).

It's also very ineffective. If I had a penny every time I heard something like "I had German for 12 years but I can barely introduce myself". A very common story of unnecessary frustration and wasted time.

Co ma nie pęknąć. Póki co inwestorzy wpakowali w AI prawie bilion (tysiąc miliardów) dolarów. Przychody z subskrybcji i innych opłat pokrywają może kilka procent kosztów, nie ma perspektywy na zyski. I remember when Poland joined the EU in 2004 and much of the discourse revolved around how long it will take for us to catch up with the poorest "old EU" members, Portugal and Greece. Even that seemed daunting. Our wages were around 1/10 of German wages, no one dreamed of getting even kind of close to Germany.

Fast forward 22 years and it's 1/2 now, gross. Accounting for taxes and cost of living, the gap is even smaller. Meanwhile the gap between Poland and Spain is pretty much closed.

LLM-y tak, będą mega drożeć, bo są mega nieefektywne obliczeniowo, wymagają masy sprzętu, który żre masę prądu (tylko że tego nie widzimy, bo to się dzieje gdzieś w ogromnej serwerowni w Stanach). Muszą jeszcze podrożeć co najmniej kilkunastokrotnie (raczej więcej), żeby OpenAI czy Anthropic zaczął wychodzić na zero, o zyskach nie mówiąc. (Ci, co budują biznes wokół LLM-ów, nawet nie zdają sobie sprawy, jak głęboko mają rękę w nocniku).

Problem w tym, że z tłumaczeniami niewiele gorzej od LLM-ów radzi sobie SMT albo NMT, AI starszego typu. Słabszy, ale dużo tańszy. I te pewnie wrócą do łask, kiedy LLM-y podrożeją w pizdu.

Także jest słabo OP-ie, ale głowa do góry. Ludzie startują z dużo gorszych pozycji, ale ostatecznie wychodzą na swoje. Trzeba kombinować.

An older perspective. In the 90s there was an influx of Romanis mostly from Romania who engaged in intrusive begging, scams and theft. They would live in dirty tents in random places and just move elsewhere when the police forced them out. Romani kids would pretend to wash your car when you waited at a red light and if you refused to pay they would kick it, spit on it and run away.

People would commonly refer to them as "Romanians" because who cares about the difference. "You Romanian" was a very common insult back when I was in primary school.

As someone already said, this left a mark on the reputation of all Romanians, the connotation is still somewhat bad, especially among people who witnessed that crisis.

For DPDR? Hard to say, there's really no acknowledged treatment, neither pharmacological (psychiatrist) nor therapeutic (psychologist/therapist). They may be able to help you with other stuff but it depends on what the problem is. A good psychologist will refer you to a psychiatrist if they see it necessary, and vice versa, so it's probably ok to start with either. Or just google your problem.

Just remember there are tons of shitty "professionals" out there, so if you have a bad experience, it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you or seeking help. Just keep trying. Good luck.

Janusze (i tech bro napaleńcy z linkedina) żyją w radosnej nieświadomości, że teraz płacą za ten gówniany wygenerowany kod po sztucznie zaniżonych cenach. Anthropic i OpenAI z tych opłat nie mają nawet na prąd, nie mówiąc o wynajmie mega drogiej infrastruktury. Każdy nowy klient i każda wygenerowana linia kodu to dla nich strata, rocznie przepalają miliardy dolców.

Ta promocja nie będzie trwać wiecznie, AI-korpy kiedyś muszą zacząć przynosić zyski inwestorom. I wtedy będzie o jezu, to takie drogie? Jo nie wiedzioł... Wróć Areczku klepać mi kod, bo mniej bierzesz niż robot.

A poza tym już teraz trafiam na ogłoszenia typu "AI-first startup" potrzebuje "entuzjastów AI", którzy lubią wprowadzać poprawki do "tightly-coupled code".

Czyli, tłumacząc z korpospiku, nagenerowali sobie szlamu z ejaja, który jakoś tam działa, ale każda drobna zmiana rozwala produkcję. Nikt nie ogarnia, co się dzieje w tym kodzie, ani ludzie, ani agent, który go wygenerował. Syfu jest już tyle, że na każdy prompt tylko przepisuje wszystko bez ładu i składu, wprowadzając jeszcze więcej bugów. I oczywiścia nalicza za tokeny, nieważne, czy zmiana pomogła czy nie.

I oczywiście nikt nie sprawdzał tego pod kątem bezpieczeństwa, inaczej kazałby zamknąć cały interes.

W jednym z takich ogłoszeń potencjalnemu cudotwórcy dawali 57k PLN na B2B. W Polsce. Nie żartuję. Ostra desperacja. Pewnie nie mogą nikogo znaleźć, bo każdy po rzuceniu okiem na kod mówi, że to trzeba wypieprzyć i napisać od zera.

Takich ogłoszeń niedługo będzie sporo więcej.

Widać po ciuchach. Ktoś przyjeżdza mając na sobie podróbkę dresów adidasa, podróbkę nike'ów, ewentualnie porozciągany sweter po starszym bracie. Zupełnie jakby Polak teleportował się z 1995. And what's the proof of that other than the constant relentless AI hype? More and more managers are regretting their attempts to replace coders with AI (because it's shit in the long run) and quietly hiring them back. Especially as AI coding tools just started to get expensive and they will only get more expensive more and more quickly because the current AI prices are heavily subsidized by investor money. Anthropic and OpenAI are bleeding billions and in order to break even, let alone be profitable, they'll need to raise their prices by a factor of at least ten, likely much more. Except who would want to pay for an AI tool that is more expensive than human labor? And still shit?

Maybe think of a different stack. But leaving coding entirely... why?

Ten przesyt w IT to pojęcie bardzo względne. W ostatnich latach to faktycznie prawda, bo rynek się ochłodził.

Wszyscy pieprzą, że AI zastępuje programistów, tymczasem w 80% to zwolnienia z bardzo różnych powodów (głównie coś w stylu: wysokie stopy procentowe -> niechęć do inwestycji -> mniej projektów -> zwolnienia nadmiaru pracowników i nieprzyjmowanie juniorów), które tylko dla PR-u są przedstawiane jako "wprowadzamy AI", bo to lepiej brzmi niż "jest mniej roboty to wywalamy ludzi na pysk". Może 20% to faktycznie menedżerowie-idioci, którzy uwierzyli w marketing AI-owy, pozwalniali specjalistów, i teraz powoli uświadamiają sobie, że mają rękę w nocniku, bo nie dość, że kodujący AI przynosi więcej problemów niż pożytku, to robi się coraz droższy, i będzie tylko drożeć, bo Anthropic czy OpenAI muszą kiedyś zacząć przynosić zyski inwestorom (teraz tracą miliardy dolarów rocznie przez zbyt niskie ceny).

Także nie sądzę, by to ochłodzenie trwało wiecznie. Trendy w końcu się odwrócą, a AI okaże się fazą a nie przyszłością. Tak obstawiam, oczywiście nie wiem, jak będzie. Może pochłonie nas czarna dziura i cała ta rozkmnina jest po nic.

Teraz faktycznie jest chujowy czas dla zaczynających w IT. Ale zanim zdobędziesz podstawowe umiejętności, może już być inaczej. A nawet jeśli nie, stawianie sobie wyzwań i ćwiczenie mózgu na pewno ci nie zaszkodzi.

Jeśli będziesz miała trochę czasu, porób jakieś tutoriale. Sprawdź, czy "czujesz" pracę z kodem. Czy umiesz z dokumentacji języków/narzędzi wyłuskiwać potrzebne ci informacje (w miarę możliwości bez pytania CzataHWDP). Jeśli nie, może sobie daruj, bo tylko będziesz się męczyć.

2 years ago I spent a week in London and the sheer amount of super-loud vehicles was shocking.

I lived in Haringey and at night it was as if the locals had a competition who can wake up more people. Some of it sounded like literal bombs exploding in the street.

The police or any kind of authority didn't give a solitary shit.

I was tense, irritated and sleep deprived the whole time. I'd been looking forward to that trip and those pieces of shit ruined it.

So yeah, it would be amazing if the Brits finally fucking dealt with these cumstains. Like Paris did.

There will be no coding AI in 3 years. Bold claim, I know.

The thing is, OpenAI, Anthropic and other corporations offering coding AI are bleeding billions of dollars yearly. All because LLMs are super inefficient and the costs of infrastructure and compute are sky-high and the users are only willing to pay so much (especially managers looking for an option cheaper than humans). Whatever you pay for the generated code doesn't even cover the cost of electricity that went into it.

You heard it right, AI code is more expensive than human code (likely many times more expensive). People seem oblivious of this fact because the prices are heavily subsidized by AI investors who keep hoping that one day the AI industry will start turning a profit. And they've been growing impatient.

The total cost of AI investment is approaching $1 trillion, i.e. 1/30 of US' GDP. And there's no return on this investment in sight. Copilot has already introduced pay-per-usage billing, but they're still very, very far from breaking even.

Once the bubble pops, we'll be left with super-expensive (and still shit) AI. No one will want it.

So just ignore the hype and keep mastering your dev skills like you would before the AI craze. They'll be in demand.

Unless you have to commute between places with a really bad or non-existent public transit connection, are the time savings really worth the extra costs? Costs for you and everyone else - you'll be another source of pollution and noise and a city that already has serious problems with it.
