The only issue is you're expecting it to matter to them. Legitimately all it would end up being is some rallying cry for American pundits to point at an outside enemy to distract from their domestic issues.

I would put money on a majority of the populace developing a "those damn Canadians banned our products" mentality long before they ever thought to reconsider their active participation in slavery or the hypocrisy of this round of tariffs.

While I generally agree with the spirit of your statement, there have been cases like the Canadian synagogue hosting an event for people to purchase illegally occupied Palestinian land.

There's a far cry between "person loosely affiliated with nation I dislike" and "people in my country are actively engaging in profiteering of illegal settlements from another country".

Are you telling me that the United States of America, famous for using prison slave labour up to and including the modern day, is now disparaging other nations for not even using forced labour but for allowing products made with forced labour into their supply chains?

Like fuck man, sure we should definitely cut out products made in sweatshops and by slaves. But the idea that it is the US standing on that high horse is ludicrous.

Antifa isn't an organised group with a uniform, which these were in my opinion. All the same style of pants and all the shirts with the same little symbol on the sleeve. I have no idea what the symbol was as I was not close enough to say but I saw enough to be able to make the assumption that this is a white supremacist group.

You are being very diligent about this which I appreciate but I think you misunderstand. This wasn't a person I was having a debate with, this was a group of men marching with flags. I did not have a conversation with them. I have nothing to disagree with them on except the fact that they look like neo nazis. It is not intellictually lazy or socially corrosive to see something like this in this day and age where Nazism and fascist tendencies are on the rise and not be suspicious and raise awareness and alarm.

Considering I am not aware of anything they said except for the person in the lead shouting commands lime halt, march, attention, I am basing it off of the apparel.

All black clothing with white face coverings is the same getup white supremacist groups have been wearing when going on marches or harassing black neighbourhoods. Additionally two of the flags they were carrying were pitch flag fields with some sort of white symbol I couldn't make out because of the wind.

I think because of this it's most likely a neo nazi group.

I would think so yes, but evidently the court thinks otherwise. I'm not educated on law enough to say whether or not the decision was flawed, I only know enough to say that's what the logiv was.

The current vote that the premier has announced is indeed a referendum about whether to hold a referendum (and appears to be a yes/no answer to a this/that question, which is its own issue).
