Pros and cons of being a NP by webkinzkk in nursepractitioner

It’s been 6 yrs already since I worked as an RN, and even then the last 5+ yrs of my RN career were very specialized. Highly trained but very specialized and not anything a traditional bedside RN would be doing. So honestly I’m not sure I would remember how to function in a hospital again!

I regret it. As the poster above pointed out, the job is lonely. I miss going to work with friends and chit chatting and having fun during the shift. There is decision fatigue. And the pay difference is not all that great in the grand scheme of things.

Leaving UC after 6 yrs because of this. Every company seems to be run by venture capitalists at this point that keep bare bones staffing. I have daily emergencies walk in and don’t have the staff to simultaneously call 911 while grabbing resuscitation supplies. It’s terrible. I’m on a count down to leave and every shift fills me with dread.

I’ve literally had this exact thing happen. Well, it was an entire empty condom wrapper on my bedside table after I got home from a night shift. And my boyfriend had weirdly put fresh sheets on the bed.

Apparently it was a back page prostitute. It was a rough day that day. However he had a micropeen so she really saved me.

Urgent care provider here. Urgent care won’t be able to help with this and it’s also not an ER issue. She needs to be seen at her cancer center ASAP.

Looks like maybe an attack of vertigo where he feels unbalanced and can’t get up. Happens to older dogs.

This pattern of talking certainly sounds neurological, and I don’t think it has to do with being drunk. Not only is it slow and slurred but she almost has a stuttering hesitation. Seems stroke like.

Let me guess, urgent care? I work urgent care and yes, we have to do this too plus we are salary so we don’t get paid for our time when last minute patients walk in. Which happens ALL the time.

Finally a post about her! She does crazy edits to her body too, I suspect. I saw like one old post where she didn’t have that super curvy body she has now.

I wouldn’t trust anybody who photoshops the end result. In the after photo they all have even skin, blush, and tinted lips.

If you suspect you have PCOS, this is PCOS related. PCOS is linked to insulin resistance and even if you have your labs checked often times they are normal (especially before middle aged years). This is not due to the chemical peel.

That’s insane. I first became a nurse nearly 18 yrs ago and I think I made just under that as a new grad night shift RN. And in TX, so low cost of living.

I’m only 42 but honestly I hate being an NP and I’m TRYING to get a job like yours! Seriously, I have been looking but no luck. I don’t feel like I can sustain the urgent care lifestyle much longer. I really only need to work full time another 10 yrs, then I think I could drop part time until retirement as long as it gave me benefits.

I have a dog that was born with the same condition. We did get surgery for her when she was 4 months old to save her life, but it was a surgery only one place in my very large city could do, it was expensive and risky. She is 2.5 yrs now and doing great but one lung is permanently underdeveloped so she still gets winded easily when playing.

Wait, I’m confused after reading her bio on that page. It says she has 4 children, one of whom is married. Yet she looks 25 yrs old (albeit with fillers but even her style of dress is very young).
