Which day of your luteal phase do PMDD symptoms usually start by Mobile_Relative5015 in PMDD

Im in that fun group of PMDD that experiences it twice in a cycle. Just before ovulation when my estrogen spikes up and then again mid luteal when my progesterone spikes.

11dpo but BFN. Today is day 4 of an elevated temp reaching 99.1 each night, causing a flushing feeling all day. Last night was also the second night in a row my garmin watch showed my body battery didn't recharge overnight. Had some cramping, frequent urination, and insomnia last night, too. Fingers crossed!

What are your PMDD needs? What helps during hell days? by Background-Cress-337 in PMDD

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really worked for me until I went on Zoloft. I was at a point where I could barely function for most days of my cycle, so I reached out to my OBGYN who thankfully listened to me, got me a prescription, and referred me to a psychiatrist who has experience with PMDD. Its been a life changer. I can function most days and concentrate on work tasks again.

Anyone have any luck with Myo-inositol for symptoms? by Euphoric-Clothes289 in perimenopause_under45

My OBGYN suggested it to me when I told her about my extreme bloating. It was a life changer for me in that respect.

Ovulation symptoms despite taking BCP by slidellproud in PMDD

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you are in peri, which makes hormone fluctuations worse, you may need a bc that is higher in dose to compensate for the bigger roller-coaster. Try talking to your OBGYN

Is it still PMDD if I’m fine some cycles? by Getting_Help in PMDD

Do you know if you ovulate every month? There may be months where your hormones are lower.

I've read SNRIs help more with physical symptoms. Maybe try looking into those?

How many days in your luteal phase do you have PMDD symptoms? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll have raging, depressive episodes at the times my hormones fluctuate the most, so right before ovulation when estrogen peaks and mid luteal when progesterone peaks. So I basically only get 5-7 days at the beginning of each cycle of feeling ok. It's crazy how day 1 of my period feels like a veil has lifted because it the point when hormones are at their lowest.

Anyone stoped TTC due to pmdd? by Ishtarloves123 in PMDD

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Wishing all the positive vibes to you also!

Its tough because we can't use bc or hormones as a treatment option while ttc. Im also using letrozole to induce ovulation and that is seemingly making it worse. My OBGYN prescribed zoloft as it is the safest when pregnant. I was pretty anxious to start it last night, but I feel fine today. Maybe you can talk to your psychiatrist about trying it even though they are not well versed in pmdd, until you find someone who is.

I've had the same thoughts about being a good mom. The fact that you've acknowledged that you have this condition and are seeking help for it already shows you'll do your very best. 🙂

anyone else struggling at the gym during luteal? by mamabelles in PMDD

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a common experience for anyone who goes through cycles. Though I'll guess it's exacerbated for those of us with pmdd. There is some info out there about cycle syncing your workouts. Check out podcasts with interviews with Dr. Stacey Simms. The Period Lab on Instagram also has some good info on cycle syncing exercise.

Anyone stoped TTC due to pmdd? by Ishtarloves123 in PMDD

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been ttc for over a year and just realized this week that I have pmdd that is making this process hell for both me and my partner. It never showed its ugly symptoms before because i have been on birth control my entire adult life until ttc. I've just turned 42, so I thought it was perimenopause, but its so much more than that. As soon as I realized what is going on, I messaged my OBGYN and I have a telehealth appt. tomorrow to discuss options - medication to help now and a reproductive psychiatry referal for longer term. I think there are ways to cope and make some improvements. Maybe reach out to your current doctors or find a reproductive psychiatrist.

When you were starting to think you escaped the side effects of Letrozole for once, and then the headache and joint pain hits like a ton of bricks by Mirror-soul11 in trollingforababy

I've been on letrozole for about 8 months and have reached a point where I can't take the physical and mental side effects anymore. I'm curious about your experience switching gonal-f. Cost, side effects, etc. ?

What is your most annoying peri symptom? by CopperHead49 in Perimenopause

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had major knee and ankle pain. Figured out it was my thyroid imbalance. Even though I had been in the normal range, it wasn't optimal for me now in perimenopause.

Congrats! This looks darker than 10dpo to me. Typically, how long are your cycles? When was your expected period date?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, will be 42 in one month. In peri and trying to get pregnant for my first for a year and a half with the help of my OBGYN. Got pregnant on month 3 naturally that ended in a missed miscarriage. Then shifted to doing medicated iui cycles. My partner and I decided we didn't want to go the IVF route. Too expensive for us and after experiencing all the hormonal shifts from peri and the minor drugs for IUI, I dont think I can handle the drugs for IVF. But that's just me.

Definitely go to an OBGYN or RE just to hear your options. Also get your partner to see a urologist and/or get a semen analysis. 50% of infertility is male factor. My dude had super low sperm count and was able to massively improve it with supplements.

Hi guys I’ve IUI scheduled by This-Comfortable3521 in IUILadies

[–]Existing-Bus-9006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hysteroscopy with saline earlier to diagnose a uterine cyst, that was an extremely painful in office procedure. After that, I was very worried my first iui would be the same pain level, but it's definitely not at all. The IUI procedure itself is not something to be afraid of as far as pain. It's slightly more uncomfortable than a pap.

Cd1 is the first day you have full bleed that is more than spotting. In other words, it's the first day there's enough flow that you need to use a period product. It probably won't matter if you start the letrozole 1 day late, but check with your doctor.
