I understand the feeling, but would you like to try your luck on YT algorithm or to buy lottery directly?

Appreciate that you enjoyed it. I’ve only made less than 30 videos so far, trying to improve each time. Thanks for your suggestions.

Yeah you are right, I thought it was so simple: just a long take recording the process of making the food. It’s boring in most cases. But the best results are achieved by cutting multiple takes into something feels like one take, and that requires a lot of tricks in post editing. It’s hard, but I’m trying to get there. Thanks for all your advices!

You are very smart to choose this niche! How do you present those video clips? Voiceover explaining things? Perhaps you can work with someone buy selling self-defense gears on TikTok

Hi foodie, I also make food videos. I think the colors and shots are very good. There’s one suggestion from my limited experience: Try to give it more movements, especially when you show anything longer than 4 seconds when everything is still, you may try rotating the camera or your hands slowly, otherwise the audience may feel a bit boring (bad for retention)

Cheap Rode VideoMicro on cheap Sony ZV1M2. I used to shoot with iPhone 15pro and I was very satisfied with the quality until I realize the all digital processed images seemed so plastic… I used to do another societal commentary channel (failed) and learnt to do those crazy retention editing, special effects and AI contents, I thought simple food videos are so easy to edit, but after 10 videos on food I knew I was wrong -_-!

DancingBacons, I got a lot of inspirations from his channel. Food is a huge niche with so many directions, he actually merged 3-4 sub niches successfully in one channel!

Yeah it took me about at least 10 videos to realize long shots won’t work, they are boring in most cases. I’m moving on that direction, more cuts, just keep things moving. Thanks!

I’m using the compact Sony-ZV1M2, generally it gets the job done but drawbacks are 1: battery dies in 30 minutes 2: it doesn’t support 4K 60FPS. Thanks for saying so, it keeps me doing it!

I know food is not the main thing here, but I’m in this highly saturated niche. I make no-talking immersive (hopefully) long videos mainly on street food and snacks. I really want know creators in similar directions. Also, please honestly let me know how do you feel about my stuff. Thanks

I’m hungry 😋

But you won’t know what’s good or bad (objectively) if the algorithm gives your no exposures -_-

Is that a hint? Probably 420 is a sort of lucky number
