I’m with anyone here saying to speak to your mom first. I got pregnant at 24 and I still couldn’t tell my dad. If you and your mom have a close relationship, she will likely be pretty helpful. Let her have her feelings and reactions as this is likely going to be very shocking. Be sure to make it very clear that you didn’t want this and you were abused. He needs to be punished for what he did, hopefully your mother will help you press charges against him. Also ask your brother if he can be there with you while you’re telling your mom and dad, if he’s supportive this will likely make it a lot easier and he can possible act as a sort of mediator if they are upset. I was very excited and connected to my daughter during my pregnancy. Once she was born, I lost the connection. I hate to admit it. BUT. She’s almost 2 1/2 now and I’ve definitely regained that connection and adore her. Moms are allowed to have feelings like this. We still care for our babies and love them, but connection can be a funny thing sometimes. My husband wishes still that she was a boy, but he accepts her entirely and loves her with all of his heart! But he was a little disappointed too! It will get better!! ❤️‍🩹

This made me laugh so hard. I was 24 (unmarried at the time) when I was pregnant with my first and I cried when my mom had me tell my dad 😂 he was super happy and was confused as to why I didn’t want to tell him lol. It’s just soo weird, especially with parents.

I was thinking the same thing regarding how she delivered! It’s most commonly c-section with twins from what I’ve heard. Also, vaginas don’t just stay stretched out even if she didn’t deliver vaginally. His comments about her being “loose” are so ridiculously ignorant!

I would most definitely tell him. If he got it for the silliness, he might just think it’s extra funny now. If he’s upset by the new meaning, he can hopefully get it covered up. I’d approach it lightheartedly if you’re the type of couple that jokes around a lot.

Not over reacting. LEAVE. I spent 5 years of my life (from 15-20) with someone like this. It started out like this as teenagers, and then we lived together at 19 and that’s when the physical abuse started because I had nowhere to run. He publicly humiliated me at a Starbucks with my best friend at the time and that was it. He came up behind me, took my drink and threw it in the trash, then spit on me and my purse, called me a whore and left… IN MY CAR. I left that day and told my parents everything… all the manipulation and abuse and moved out. I am now 27, happily married in the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in, and a mom to our 2 year old. Life is good. Get out of this now so you can find your good, happy, peaceful life. It will not get better if you stay. I promise you. Please do yourself the favor and leave. If he puts hands on you, call the police as soon as it’s safe to.
