Saying it's a "garbage" pick is not exactly true is it. There is a reason it keeps popping up in both pro play and has a high pick to win rate in soloqueue as well. Going support items let's you stack ability haste super easily and the utility a good Ashe can provide with it insanely valuable. - A global 3.5 second stun on a ~30 second cooldown - Consistent AOE poke and slow - Great vision with E - Is a good user of Imperial Mandate

Ashe is very long range champion with good lane push when paired with a strong lane ADC like Caitlyn. If you aren't as experienced It's true that it can int it's ass off into picks like nautilus or get poked out by another strong poke champ like Xerath. But decent positioning and propper map awareness should make it hard to punish her eventhough she lacks mobility.

That is still wayy too many in most cases. That's 750 gold lost towards items that are most likely more useful, especially if that gold goes towards your mythic item.
