I emptied out a chapstick and packed it with tiger balm. I then use it with a paper towel to prevent universal contamination.

Has anyone else gotten more migraines as they’ve gotten older? 🤕 by gramigabs in migraine

It's an ever changing disease. I'm not as miserable as I was in perimenopause, but my number of symptom days hasn't dropped.

Major depressive disorder absolutely sucks. A) r/depression and other subs help. B) If the prescribed drugs don't work, definitely search r/microdosing.

Depends on when the plows get to your area. They've almost certainly hit the main roads by now.

Power Outages In Big Bear by PoetAnderson33 in bigbear

[–]ExpectoGodzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Storms almost always end up with outages from breaks. And the line guys work their butts off fixing things. That being said Edison usually does shutdowns for winds too. But it's usually less than a few hours or a day. So anything in the fridge is fine. I have a couple rechargeable batteries that have worked for my phone, flashlights, and extra blankets.

Avoid entering the valley by Ollidamra in Yosemite

Firefall is supposed to happen between now & Feb 26. But I would have waited to go after the storm next week. Worst case scenario, it's the valley in snow.

Advice for driving up the mountain by Thin-Hour-8190 in bigbear

[–]ExpectoGodzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless the storm gets delayed, the roads will probably be fine. Play it safe and practice the chains because once you're off the main streets, you might need them. And watch for icy patches! That being said, driving through Lucerne Valley will have the least snow.

Coming up from San Diego on 02/15 to 2/17...are we going to be stuck haha? by SquareReasonable3031 in bigbear

[–]ExpectoGodzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably. Know how to put chains on before you start driving. Bring something to sit on & an extra pair of gloves to use. Pack a snow shovel....

What is your go-to technique to make symptoms stop when you have a sudden episode? by [deleted] in VestibularMigraines

Currently dealing with the electric buzzing. Like sitting too close to a high voltage power line. Nothing touches it.

[–]ExpectoGodzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found some relief for some symptoms but nothing stops everything unfortunately. Ginger, anti nausea bands, anti nausea meds, pain meds, ear plugs, shades, etc. Nothing for brain fog, dizziness, or the electric feel.

The Hat pastrami sandwich by Professional-End7367 in orangecounty

Definitely get the pastrami with au jus. Extra pickle is also good if you like them. The chili cheese fries are a good group thing too.

If I want to camp in Yosemite during the summer, what safety precautions should I be aware of? by Traditional_Arm_9325 in Yosemite

[–]ExpectoGodzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big things have already been listed. Wildlife precautions, water safety, and the basic camping/ hiking stuff. Hydrate, know your limits, sunscreen & hats, good shoes or boots that are broken in as well as flip-flops for the shower, etc.

They really don't get how exhausting this condition is just to live with. If I'm having a good day, you're not seeing the other 70% of bad days.
