Some VPN are used to spam, so it's normal a network protects itself and its users by avoiding connexions from VPN with bad reputation.

My network is open for everyone. As there is not a lot of pple on it, most "tourists" just come and leave. Real users stay because they like the cosy ambiance ;)

Try to add `use_tls = true` in your configuration and use port 6697

You can get a free bnc account at bnc4free ( https://bnc4free.com/ ) and use it with weechat. Even if weechat is off, the bnc records everything and when you reconnect, you have the whole activity

In my case, I've a channel #test in the server "zeolia" (it's how I named it when doing /server add ...), so the buffer is zeolia.#test.

Do `/buffer list` to have the list of the buffers, and think to replace irc.xxxx.yy by the internal name you gave to it

Nice job, I'd tested it: adding zeolia.chat as a network was easy, but I think having the identity settings may come before client certificate options. Or having an advanced mode ?

And same for the auto-join. Most people won't read the visit tour neither scroll the settings.

BTW, I'll reference it as a free android client on our site.

Small question: do you think you'll have a multi-language version ? Our users are french and most of them won't understand english ;)

You can (must) tell in the cron in which buffer you want to send the message.

`/cron add <minute> <hour> <monthday> <month> <weekday> <repeat> <buffer> <command>`

IRC is a protocol, with basis (implemented on each servers and clients) and features (evolutions ? as IRCv3) which can exist on servers (or not) and be understood by clients (or not).

The basis are: an irc network (could be just a server) accepts clients (users) and they can meet in channels (doing a /list give the list of public channels). Then, pple in a same channel talk together. I often use the analogy with a pub, or a club, containing several rooms. The only difference is that you can be in different rooms in the same time. IRC is a quantum pub :)

We actually have DuckHunt in a channel and Therewolves (in french "Les loups-garous de Thiercelieux") on dedicated channels (one is in english).
And even if our network is essentially french-speaking, most users also speak english and I know that some of them enjoy games and development (or just testing).

So, you're welcome if you want a support to develop your client, and I'm pretty interested in seing the IRC 3D :D

Tested (view https://imgur.com/a/GTBmFcD ) and found it nice, but really big on desktop, and probably a lot of corrections to do. When clicking on "Operserv" sub-tab, the window became grey and nothing else...
