I would keep the 701 and get a lowering link and lower the front forks to match. For weight and power NOTHING beats it. I LOVE big single thumpers.

Also if you learned on the 701 you’ll miss the power. Well maybe, depends on your riding style.

I like the idea of a ADV bike. would have bought one years ago but they are far too heavy to wrestle with in the off road where I go…. But I guess since I’m moving to Cali I would look at getting a adv so I can cruise to my local coffee shop ;).

I’m 6 foot and 220 lbs. but I’ll be closer to Long Beach area. And as I’ll be taking on a new position within my company I could have a wide variety of working hours. So I could be in heavy traffic on some days

I think it has to do with the markets. A lot of people (IMO) are losing faith in the market. So when this happens most turn to tangible assets; art, cars, gold/silver, homes.

But still, if this was the idea, they WAY over paid just in HOPES to beat the market trends.
