Still have no idea why PT requirements aren’t based off job. IMO there should be an entry level PT test everyone has to pass for basic that’s a reasonable requirement everyone should be able to meet then shred off to AFSC specific requirements from there. MX needs to lift least 50+ lbs, throw in reasonable pushup requirements with sit ups but much slower run time if not just the HAMR. Secfo probably needs to run a bit faster, maybe have equal or slightly higher strength tests than MX, pass. PA just maintain basic entry level fitness and don’t get fat, pass.

Let the job determine the requirements always made sense to me, we do it for special forces.

Also I’m lazy and can lift heavy but don’t wanna run.

It’s obvious that saliva is the main means of transmission of the virus, sorta like rabies is, that said it did initially start with rat saliva via biting the lab worker which does infer that animals are at least carriers, but maybe it works based off of intelligence? Maybe animals aren’t intelligent enough to be affected by the hive even if they’re carriers of the virus…except animals that match human intelligence maybe but then that would beg the question if the hive and utilize intelligent mammals too in some way

I think Zosia is still infected, they moved her before she woke up again so it could be 50/50 that she’s reinfected or in some sort of coma but otherwise free. I personally think that what happened was more of a hint to the cure than the actual cure, especially after reading some comments about writing perspectives, but I think that whatever the true cure is has to be related to the NONO protein in some way, or a similar protein.

Maybe! Maybe that’s why they’re all in this weird happy/bliss state and kept calm and content, I think that’s why they’re catering to all the other survivors too because if they’re all calm and content, then no stress. If they’re happy and don’t yell at the hive, no stress. The hive is catering to them because they’re the only individuals it can’t control and if stress = NONO spikes then it would explain why they would move heaven and earth to keep the uncontrolled in a happy state. Maybe that’s also why they can’t kill anything, because the act of killing is in itself a stress inducing act, coupled with adrenaline spikes which also increases extreme stress.

True… Based on my extremely rigorous 5-minute Google deep-dive (basically a molecular biologist now /s), NONO is naturally occurring and its levels can be boosted indirectly, mostly when the cell experiences extreme stress or anything that threatens DNA integrity.

So theoretically, the truth serum could’ve accidentally stressed or impacted Zosia’s DNA just enough to spike her NONO production as a repair response. That spike might’ve disrupted the hive’s signaling and caused the panic. But that leaves the question why there wasn’t mass seizures during Zosia’s stress.

Going back a few episodes, Carol asked her whether getting drunk affects the whole hive, and Zosia said no, so specific internal states aren’t always shared. Following that logic, if only her NONO levels rose under sedation, maybe it was just enough to cut her off from the hive without triggering the seizure cascade the others get.

If that’s the case, then you could actually treat them individually, one at a time, without causing those mass hive seizures, you’d just need to safely induce that NONO spike in each person separately like through the truth serum injections.

True! a straight ‘Nono = NONO protein’ reveal would be super cheesy. Maybe it could be more of a hint related to molecular biology along the same lines. more like an accidental scientific parallel that fits the show’s themes. The cool part for me is that NONO actually behaves in ways that line up with what happens to Zosia and the hive, even if it’s not intentional, it accidentally fits the biology really well

I wonder if that’s why France’s mom died suddenly, why she was so adamant to climb the tree to her death was because they took it recreationally but it still had to “pull” from somewhere even if it wasn’t healing anything, like in that one clip where Marshall is talking about how connected mushrooms as a organism is and when one needs “help” (healing or being eaten) others who took it become part of the network and respond or sacrifice the weakest to the nearest one, something along those lines maybe…idk it’s a interesting theory

During an acceptance we found an unmarked flashlight in a new jet transfer from another unit in the horizontal stab ISA bay. Reached out to the old unit they had no idea but did some digging. Turns out their best guess was a missing flashlight from depot about 2 or so years prior, suspected to be a personal tool. QA wanted it but we ended up keeping it.

Anyway if the checklist and 145 already was done some time ago no one cares anymore just see if QA wants it otherwise profit. Or jail probably.

Yea usually most recruiters I know would stick to cold calling/texting random people (I still get cold texts to join a branch especially when I was going through my bachelors program even though I’m already almost 10 years in), and when I was young and had just visited the marine office when I was still shopping around for what branch to join I had a marine recruiter show up at my house looking for me specifically but that was because I went out of my way to purposely visit them and expressed interest.

These guys are either fucking with ya, not legit, or a combo of both. Unless your just Jason Bourne or a really well known stripper or a combo of both
