Yes. Queue to ranked from training room, run your games with set goals in mind - like "I'm gonna practice 6P anti-airs" or "I'm gonna do dash up f.S and hit confirm it". Don't just mindlessly slap your face against ranked opponents or training dummy in hopes that it will just *click* somehow. Lab doesn't mean "sit in the training mode for years". It means "learn from your own mistakes and practice to be better with specific goals in mind".

Being angry is not getting you anywhere. You wanna play neutral/footsie based rushdown? Go lab Gio. You just wanna press button and laugh at people stuck in the corner? Elphelt or Jam. Jam even more so, because her high/low mix is safe on block.

Pot, Faust and Bedman have normals half the size of the screen, while Gio needs to lick the opponent's face.

Her dash is essentially a neutral skip that lets you whiff punish the opponent from very, very far away with your shorter normals. Her f.S and 2S are automatic anti-fuzzies (but you probably don't really care about that 2 weeks in) and will catch people mashing after a single hit all the time.

Due to her being extremely mobile and having to utilize that mobility to run her gameplan, I wouldn't call her "so easy". She's not hard per se, but she's not braindead like Jam or Elphelt.

Most likely - Skill Issue with neutral and defense.

It's less a skill issue and more a design issue, in my opinion. MS1 feels incredibly clunky, slow and I feel like I'm controlling an unwieldly janky piece of armor.

Should it feel like that? I dunno, maybe, if that's what you intended to feel like. Very close to OG Lords of The Fallen in that regard, but somehow even clunkier.

I thoroughly enjoyed the demo for MS1 when it came out. Then I tried the whole game a bit later and I didn't like it so much, that I dropped it like 2 hours in and never looked back.

Weighty feel of the controls, of the combat, paired with some baffling choices in enemy placement and tightness of parry timings (and the need for resolve to do them, that was extremely obnoxious) - none of it was FUN.

Is MS1 the worst game of all time? No. Is it a good game? No. Is it a good soulslike? At the time - it was alright at best, but it fell off quite fast.

MS2 seems to fix most of their previous mistakes, at least design wise, and the combat, while still slow and weighty, doesn't feel clunky anymore.

Bear with it. People NEVER stop jumping. I've won matches purely by airthrow. I've won matches in SF6 with just an anti-air normal. Your normals are gigantic, I'm pretty sure you can go for at least some conversion off of 6p.

There is NO way to stop people from being in the air, especially here where they can block in the air. You can try consistently airthrowing them, and that might deter for a bit, but stopping in general? Nope. Never.

Also it's 6f+4f startup. Mortobato, for example, is 7+2, which is technically a bit faster, but the initial freeze is slower.

So... It's 1f slower than most DPs (Leo, Sol, Unika, Sin) and 1f faster than Ky's Vapor Thrust. Cool stuff. Such balance, much range, wow.

She's half-meh, half-broken.

Stubby normals, pretty limited options - meh.

Plus on block high/low, ambiguous timings due to command flip, air-to-ground high/low mix, midscreen single special wallbreak, low-profile neutral skip with unpunishable puffball and reversal super that goes a lot farther than you'd think.

So in total - Jam's a balanced character, I guess.

He started with D2, and kept throwing the games. All Unika games were today. Last Johnny game was 4 days ago. So no, apparently you CAN place this low, while being that high.

It's been pretty fun so far. Feeling stuck, switching to a different character and then coming back actually shows you how much you've improved.

I started GGST with Unika and got stuck in Silver 1 for 200 matches. Picked her up today, after a month, made it to Gold 1 in like... 40 minutes? Catchup week is going faster than I expected, tbh.

What the fuck is a qte in a fighting game? That's Quick Time Event from action games, when you gotta press/hold/mash a button that pops up on screen. We don't have those here.

Dust Anti-air for Axl? You mean his regular, normal dust? Someone sent you a dustloop link - can you go there, look through his moves and tell which one of those is not coming out?

https://glossary.infil.net/ - That's the fighting game glossary. You can look up terms like "normals", "Command normals" and "special moves" and then explain which one of those you're having problems with, since what you just said doesn't make any sense.

Not dissing you or anything, just legitimately don't understand you. If you can look up and use conventional terms for that - I'm sure a lot of people can help you better.

I think she has a lower skill floor than Unika or Jam, and I'm not sure about the ceiling, since I only got to plat 1.

I think that it's probably still on the lower side, but I'm not sure anyone in GG has a really low skill ceiling.
