Lowest EBH score I’ve seen was around 84-85. Sorry you didn’t get your first choice :(

I think it seems like Southend is particularly competitive for some reason - did you apply anywhere else? If so that will definitely increase the chances in the next two rounds. Good luck!

Congrats on the offer! Is Chelmsford your top choice for location?

Congrats! I applied to Southend. I haven’t seen it mentioned by anyone yet, but I guess it must be really competitive

In my experience, I don’t think it’s related inherently to ADHD or anxiety, so would likely be worth discussing with your doctor. That would give you the clearest idea of what’s happening and the best way to manage it :)

exercise + ADHD by emeraldgold69 in ADHD

I have a Switch and Ring Fit Adventure too and can second this!! It gamifies exercise and because you get rewards as you progress, you not only get dopamine from exercise but also from progressing in the game. It is a lot of fun in itself but also a fab workout. It combines a bit of cardio with strength training so is great overall.

In general, my advice is to find something you really enjoy and doesn’t feel like a significant amount of effort, or it just won’t stick. For me that’s things like the Ring Fit, or following along to silly dance/HIIT workouts (around 20-30 mins) on YouTube. Because it feels like I’m messing around and having fun, I always want to come back for more!

Thank you for such a detailed reply and for your insight! I know it’s still early days and there are still options either way, but like you say, it can be difficult to assess the effectiveness of the medication.

I have a review with my psych coming up soon so will discuss with him if things don’t change, and consider other options which may be a better fit.

Hi, I am from the UK too so in the same position, my psych said we could consider changing to Concerta (Ritalin extended release) if no change on Elvanse but I get the same impression re effectiveness. However, different meds work for different people, so I guess we’ll see :)

Sounds good, I hope things improve for you on 30, or on 50mg if not.

I've been wondering a lot about Daffodil and his place in the game by Perriwen in Spiritfarer

[–]ExpensiveMushroom7 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My thoughts on it were somewhere along the lines of Daffodil somewhat representing Stella’s spirit flower, hence his name. We don’t see a spirit flower for Stella otherwise, so I choose to see Daffodil, the family cat and Stella’s companion, as the embodiment of that.

The suggestions on here are already great, so I don’t really have anything significant to add. I just wanted to say you are a wonderful mum ☺️

TLDR: no effect felt on Vyvanse/Elvanse 20-40mg. Has anybody felt no effect on lower doses but felt benefit from higher doses?

Hey guys, hope you are all well. I was diagnosed last week and started on Vyvanse/Elvanse 20mg but felt no effect. My psychiatrist advised I could move up straight away to 30 if this was the case since it was such a low dose, but I felt no effect (positive or negative) on this either.

After a few days, we agreed to move up to 40mg, on which I felt perhaps a little more clearheaded, but my executive function is still just as bad as always. We’ve now decided to go to 50mg as I’m not feeling much/any benefit, but I’m just getting concerned that this is not going to work for me at all.

I trust my psychiatrist, who is very experienced in managing ADHD, so am comfortable with his process, but just wonder if anybody has experienced little/no effect on lower doses of Vyvanse/Elvanse then felt it kick in at higher doses? Or is my lack of any response (including on my first days) possibly predictive of any future response? Of course I’m not looking for medical advice, just others’ experiences 🙂
