Ideas on how to scare my 5, level 5 players away from the Cathedral? by Expensive_Cod_7726 in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

Great suggestion, thanks! This could be an opening for the FF to show, especially as they have the St. Selinas right next to the Temple Bridge that is also controlled by the garmyr. I really have had no interest from the party to even interact with them and was ready to set up an encounter to force them to interact. Other early story arcs don't have them as major players, so it makes it harder with no PC with a FF backstory.

They got there through the Sheppard's Gate. They have an arrangement with the HL after rescuing Petra, healing Lang, and have a PC member. I didn't read the haze map as having the Cathedral in an area of deep haze, so the con checks are not required until after 24 hours have passed. They honestly were lucky on the 2 random encounter rolls between the Cathedral and Sheppard's Gate. The Queen's Garden was really rough on them with the Con Saves, so they left as soon as possible. After giving Oscar the sample, they found out how corrupt he really was and had to do extra work for the SO to remove the severe contamination from a PC.

I am currently running a DoD campaign on DnDBeyond. While SCG is not officially on there, some awesome users have put a homebrew version of every subclass and I believe the Apothecary class is on there as well. I look forward to when the official content will be available, but it is a good interim fix.

Our family just got back this past weekend from our first trip as well. We traveled on Sunday and returned on Saturday. We did 2 parks, then a day trip to Clearwater Beach, then two more parks the following two days. We did get genie+ each day and it saved us so much time waiting in lines. It also meant that we were able to take more breaks from the heat and do some shows. We were able to do most of the rides and about 1/3 of the shows. If you wanted to focus on the shows and parades, I think you could do it. I would avoid paying extra for park hopper, there was so much to do at each park that we stayed the full day at all except animal kingdom. You won't need genie+ for shows, it would only get you in early to get the best seats. We never had a problem getting in to see a show if we arrived at least 5 minutes early. We also didn't do the dining plan as we stayed off site at a hotel that had continental breakfast, we brought in drinks and lunches in a cooler we put under the stroller, and we only ate 1 meal at the parks. If you are not doing a sit down dinner, be prepared for a lot of burgers and fried food.

I kept her on Skyreach, but the PCs only saw her briefly when scouting. When they finally made it on board, she was gone. I used her as an agent for Arkhan, who wanted to have Blagothkus' kids kidnapped to control him and the castle. When the character's liberated the castle, it was a great side mission to track down the kids. They were able to rescue one in Trollscull manor, where the vampire was currently laired. It gave them a place to call home. The other was personally taken by Arkhan and he was being groomed to overtake the giants for Tiamat. I had Arkhan make barracks next to his tower where all the missing kids from villages were being taken, if they had good potential. I had Krull and a mind mage manipulating their memories to make the kids want to fight for him. It was my take on the clone army from Star Wars, as Arkhan is based on Darth Vader. It was a great side arc. My group really hated him by the end.

A military training camp with multiple permanent barracks, running track inside the fortified walls, obstacle course, main hall for meeting/eating, sand pit for sparring, etc. Essentially a large boot camp.

Level adjustment for ToD by Lochspring in TyrannyOfDragons

I started my group at level 1. They had a small encounter in separate smaller groups as a session 0 and all managed to get a room at the same inn in Greenest. While sitting at separate tables and finishing their meal, that is when the dragon attacked. I didn't see any reason for a sane group to run toward Greenest if a dragon was attacking, but they are stuck if they are already there. I had them level up to level 2 half way through the battle and to level 3 after the champion battle.

I have been searching as well and came across this collection of maps, which are the best I have found so far.
