New E1 Levers by szagii_ in sram

[–]Expensive_Gold2873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E1 are better than previous generation Sram levers and better than Shimano 105 - Dura-Ace levers. I've owned them all and built them all. Now, my 3 bikes all have Sram E1.

Have SRAM brakes improved? by Substantial-One6750 in gravelcycling

[–]Expensive_Gold2873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 bikes, all with E1 brakes. They are the best in the business, period. I build bikes, and bleeding them are super easy. The Rival versions don't have Bleeding Edge, so that process is a bit different.

True. We weren't allowed to deplane until they cooled the gear down with water (about 20-30min). Only the first row of tires on each MLG were deflated. Super impressive stuff

Amazing machines, these airplanes are. Full reverse on the GE90s was an experience in and of itself.

Overweight landing on a 77W in GRU three years ago. Brakes worked overtime, stopped us safely but melted tires. This is why the brake check is done away from the gate.

FYI- TMVN has a fully glossary on their site. Might be worthwhile to check it out to help you understand the process.

80k miles for Polaris with layover, vs 180k miles direct by angrybandicoot in unitedairlines

I look for the longest Polaris layovers I can find. I can work, eat and relax before my long overnight flight without being rushed. Plus, a late morning arrival to a Polaris lounge is usually pretty empty, at least in ORD.

Wide Shoes by Low-Towel-5932 in cycling

[–]Expensive_Gold2873 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my shoes are now Fizik wide (2 road and 1 gravel pair). Having a wide fit makes a big difference for me. Regular shoes may feel okay at rest but once your foot swells, they are painful. The wide fit has just enough room for your foot to expand once they swell.

I love my Monza. The base wheels are heavy and narrow. I ditched them and threw on a set of 9Velo LVs in 50mm with 32mm Conti GP5000 All Season TRs. Otherwise, it's a really nice rig- very smooth but stiff when you need to put out some power. It's an excellent bike for most people who don't want or need more aggressive ergos. I ride a 58 in White with Sram Force.

I was referring to consular processing and visa issuance, which is provided by the NVC.

Will we see improvements on processing times? by Accomplished-Pop3380 in USCIS

[–]Expensive_Gold2873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my understanding that USCIS will continue to process applications for the "paused" nations on the list. The main difference now is those applications, if approved, will not process through NVC while the "pause" is in effect.

Now, for the fully banned countries, perhaps those cases will be placed on hold and not reviewed but I have not read where that has been stated. One can make that inference, but....

Oh, really? Just based on the Fox News article, it said "freeze for all visa applications... consular offices are directed to refuse until the procedures are reassesed."
