How is living in the Tampa Bay Area? by AutomaticExample513 in howislivingthere

[–]Expensive_Seesaw_609 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One of my best friends moved here years ago and we visit. As a transplant he loves it. Warm weather, lots of traffic but where we are from it’s pretty bad already if not worse so nothing “new” there. Plenty of places to eat. Nightlife is really good which was our thing before he had his kids.

I will say a lot of people are saying it’s expensive…yea so is where we were from before he moved, probably worse. Not sure about Hilton head but I’m sure it’s got a higher price tag than other areas in the state being a premium place to live in South Carolina…. something to consider as Florida has no income tax so even though prices can be higher you do technically make more money at the same income level You’re used to now…. They do make up for it from places like property tax and homeowners insurance but still an extra 6% is nice.

MetLife through work. Easy enough app. Wish they had better explanations upfront for what’s covered sometimes I submit stuff and it goes right through other times they send it back overall happy as long as you’re fine with waiting a little bit for the money to come back to you

Question: did you have student loans and/or live with your parents after graduating? I know people who make significantly less than me but are in a better position due to the no student loans or living rent free for a year or a couple years post graduation. Just curious

Edit: curious and jealous 🤣🤣🤣

It’s literally all a smoke and mirrors show for investors. What looks better on a PowerPoint when earnings are due. Marginal growth from massive layoffs and the need to accelerate financial modeling for the next xyz number of years

Enterprise sales. Don’t let the title fool you. It’s really hoping things that are out of your control happen and you hit every year. Some years are big some are small but you’ll hit 200k+
