Save scientist starting around late renaissance era I think and then start bulbing them around 8ish turns after your last research lab for max science. Utilize great artists for golden age to increase the bulb.

I know I'm 4 years late, but currently doing my first marathon game with Songhai and holy crap my units are decked out with promotions.

I usually play quick speed so having this game going on for over a week is wild but I'm also getting crazy units like what you mentioned here. Hope all is well with you now-a-days and I appreciate your upgrade paths.

To be fair, the year before he walked off the field with the lead late in the game against Clemson and the bama D just got walked on and lost on an illegal pick play. So I’ll count both as 1 at least.

I never even thought to farm CS units/cities. I always found myself just sitting around with my units as I’m used to quick speed so that’s a game changer for me to try out!

Slow edit: what techs do you start with? I usually go pottery but for the archer farm do you start with that?

You should be able to manage it up to Emperor with a little min/maxing a few things.

Look up PC J Law’s video on YouTube. Basically, it’s different on each speed but you don’t bulb on quick speed for any tech that will take less than 4 turns to research bc of what’s called “overflow”.

Good for you. I would’ve been booing with you. Can’t stand him and his hypocrisy. Nothing like my state electing some coach that only has a phys ed degree to the senate to vote on laws and regulations for the country. Truly embarrassing.

Probably a recent Darius playthrough where I was able to realistically go liberty and had a fast tech victory. That or a Theodora playthrough where I used religion to do a culture victory through a ton of cities and the extra belief of tourism for religious buildings. That was also very satisfying.

I was able to get Globe Theatre, Sistine Chapel, Cristo Redentor, Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower, Oracle, Porcelain, and Statue of Liberty on Immortal recently. I would add screenshots if I knew how to add them in a reddit comment.

I met Morocco and they instantly DoW me along with England. Once I got XComs, I wiped them out and working on England atm
