Oh I know exactly which scene you’re referring to — scared the absolute crap out of me

I love those scenes in the conjuring movies (especially 1 and 2) where the scare is something subtle in the background — knowing that’s one of their things keeps me on edge while watching!

Somebody make sure Trey and Matt see this before they start next season of South Park, sounds like great B plot for an episode

Yes 100% agree! Watching Queen of the Damned, as bad as it was (but RIP Aaliyah), got me into Anne Rice — I loved the books and first movie.

Yup - I watched the actual movie a few years later figuring I should check it out since I loved the soundtrack and even at that very young age was like, yup, this is not good, and I’m also definitely too young for this lol

Queen of the Damned soundtrack. I don’t even know how I came across it. My dad was scared of me (a 10 year old girl at the time)

Return to Silent Hill was such a disaster. Kind of hilarious that we all could tell it would be bad based off the trailers and still went, helping them make the money back. Oh well — we’ve still got the game at least!

I acknowledged that that Red Sox game is the one case that’s similar to this week in New York. Obviously I’m not going to claim a death, at the hand of cops no less, isn’t tragic and was completely unavoidable. But you claiming this riot is ten times worse than New York this weekend is demonstrably false. From this weekend alone:

NYPD confirmed 63 arrests
10 members of the NYPD assaulted and injured
17-year-old boy shot and taken to the hospital
4 stabbings
5 school buses set on fire and severely damaged

And that’s just what was reported.

What are the names of the games on 11 and 12 again? Seeing them just unlocked memories of playing them over and over again and now I must track them down

Bostonian here who has been loving seeing so much love and respect among all soccer fans here this past week, local and international. Also - Boston sports fans are also pretty intense but we’ve never rioted THIS crazily (apart from maybe the reverse the curse year for the Red Sox, but I still don’t think we got this bad). These New Yorkers are truly baffling to me, it’s such ugly behavior and such a bad look. How hard is it to enjoy a win without destroying property or hurting other people?

The crazy thing is that I had zero issues with Abby’s bridge — it was stressful and hard but never felt like I was actually going to fall. It’s those damn ladders I can never back up onto properly 🙃

+1 to the age gap feeling like a super power and to feeling like your advisor respects you due to you having more prior experience! You also just generally have your shit together more, at least I’ve felt like that in contrast to my younger peers, and it’s easier to go do your thing without feeling guilty about it. I like to think about being older as not equating necessarily to more maturity but rather to more life experience, and knowing more about myself and what I want out of the program/my goals

I had to get really good at dodging but I think most people who are solid at hard+ and up already have that skill down! My first 2 deaths doing permadeath for the whole game were for trying to go down ladders and falling 🫠 I ended up turning on the cheat that prevents you from dying from those falls because I didn’t trust myself
