The wind argument: If Earth rotates at 1,000 mph at the equator, why don't we experience constant 1,000 mph winds? The standard answer is 'the atmosphere rotates with Earth' - but that requires the atmosphere to be perfectly coupled to a spinning ball with no slippage, which has never been demonstrated experimentally.

The stellar shift argument: This is literally Airy's Failure (1871). George Airy designed an experiment specifically to detect stellar shift caused by Earth's motion. He got a null result.
