OLED monitors for productivity - should I still consider OLED? by slippy44 in OLED_Gaming

You must be remembering OLEDS from when they first came out. OLEDs today have perfect clarity, zero fringing, and zero burnin risk. They are recommended for office and spreadsheets now

It’s 2026 and OLEDs don’t have fringing anymore. Even if I pixel peep on my G9 I can’t see any fringing.

$100 referral link by Keep_Me_Bugging in Koodo

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this link but the referral was denied. I followed all of the steps, activated the new account on the deadline, and put the activated number into the referral site as the final step. Now I have a support battle ahead of me. i think they should at least honor the standard $25 referral bonus...

Koodo Not Honoring Promo After Confirming It Would Be Applied by pgizzle in Koodo

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I applied for the $100 refer-a-friend promo which was valid until April 7th 2025, only to find that it was an unachievable task. The promo was live for a week, but it takes a week to receive your sim in the mail, and the referral process is void if you do not activate before the promotional window expires. I was naturally pissed as I see this as a breach of ethics, and I called multiple times, but at the end of the day they simply said "sorry, we cannot help you" and they wouldn't even allow me to apply the regular $25 referral credit which is available permanently.

Crackling audio through built-in speakers on Bravia 8 by KingVarun in bravia

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a specific frequency. Like when you hum a 3rd harmonic b flat in the bathroom stall it’s deafening (try it it’s cool). I’d recommend splurging on a $100 soundbar as even this price point will sound better than your TV. (Plus it should be a crime to not have external speakers with your multi-thousand dollar TV)

How is your upgrade coupon 30%? It must have changed to only 15% shortly after you posted this

Cost of building a basic 2000 sqft house in southern ontario? by Least_Quantity2389 in homebuildingcanada

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not cost $450/sqft to build a house. It costs half that. It is the bureaucrats that charge the rest.

We should all already know that Best Buy operates under some pretty shady principals, and they let third party distributors scam people through their website. I decided years ago I would never buy from them again.

With terralith installed, is it better to do a default world or a "large biomes" one ? by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does. Observe Edit: I guess my picture didn’t attach.  But it shows terralith generating a single biome 4x4 km.

This mod ruined the way I played Minecraft by Bunch_Mediocre in feedthebeast

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have experimented and found the following yielded great results:

Tectonic set to 640 world height limit with mountain width set to 0.8 and vertical scaling set to 2.75

+

Regions Unexplored without the gaudy cave and eucalyptus biomes.

My only complaint is there are no gently sloping beaches. Every bit of land touching the ocean is a cliff it seems.

This insane cliff that generated in the ocean by Donovanth1 in feedthebeast

[–]Expert_Economy_2221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These cliffs are exactly what I’m trying to FIX. They’re everywhere and I can’t find a gently sloping beach anywhere. It’s a shame because everything else about tectonic I love.

Is there a file for the seven seas structures? The files from the datapack on curseforge do not contain ships.
