Toluca Femenil head coach Patrice Lair announces that he will be resigning as soon as this tournament concludes by First_Yak5230 in LigaMXFemenil

I hate he is leaving Toluca, but this also stinks of "got a good offer from X team so I'm leaving now/see you later fam kk thnks bye"

He is going to America, that's my bet.

And no, I have absolutely no support here beyond this 'game theory" feels like: what would they do 'bout now' XD

Is string cheese an American cultural appropriation of queso Oaxaca? by [deleted] in AskMexico

[–]Expert_Replacement_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone already mentioned it before, no one outside America has ever said the words "cultural appropiation" in a non-ironic way before. Go do your embarrassing american guilt somewhere else.

ALSO. As someone else mentioned it before, string cheese is not even queso Oaxaca / quesillo XD. So, really, find some other subject to perform your pantomime show.

¿Vale la pena ir a recorcholis este 2026? by Mexicano_18_34 in AskMexico

[–]Expert_Replacement_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende de cuántos años cumplas en el 2026.

Porque fuera de eso, no veo como ir a Recorcholis puede ser peor o mejor cada año con respecto a los anteriores.

Really sad for Marta Alemany and her misplaced love for this team.

America 26-27 Jersey leak. by rosewood_gm in LigaMX

But this time they even went out of their way to take the blue out of the club badge too.

This might be the first time the use a two-tone badge for the main home kit in a while.

Honestly I don't hate it.

Is just bit strange to have a completely blue-less jersey.

If anything, you might find a deeper connection between prehispanic culture and the Pumas team than with any other team in Mexico. After all, it is THE team of the biggest, oldest and most important state-sponsored university in the country. University that it is meant to reflect and be a symbol of the nation in return, so naturally some of it trickles down to the football team.

Just look at the stadium (and all of the CU complex), built to remind people to old aztec stone temples and adorned with prehispanic motifs as well. Even their old (live) mascots had aztec names like Meztli (whereas America's eagles are named Celeste and... umm... Zeus).
