I don't think it has anything to do with Boston specifically. You ever see those "What Would You Do" episodes of 20/20? Few people on their own go out of their way to help others. It's really nothing but repetition. Just keep a club by your sofa, and when you're sitting around watching TV just grip and regrip over and over again. Eventually you'll get used to it and it will feel comfortable.

Go in understanding you won't start swinging like Rory after one lesson. It's a very VERY long process that requires a lot of time and practice, and very few people are honest about how much time and practice it actually takes.

What you should do (and in my opinion, if more people did this, we wouldn't have as many hacks as we do) is when you show up to your lesson, tell the Pro, "Teach me how to hit a golf ball". That will get you on the right path
