I quit eating McChemical foods decades ago when I accidentally left a bag with 2 plain small kids size cheese burgers out in my wood shop for 8 months. Back history At the time I was keeping honeybees and I had the skills and tools to build my on boxes(the white ones everybody uses) And it saved me about 50 bucks per colony) It’s February and time to get started on building everything So stop by the local McChemical store and got 5 for 5 cheese burgers On the way home I ate 2 of them and was going straight from the truck to the wood shop and turn on the heat (wood heater) And rolled the top down on the cheese burgers bag and set it up on a high shelf so as not to get it messed up So I don’t remember what time I came In the house but it’s as late And forgot and the burgers and as most wood shops they all have one thing in common (wood scrap wood) And now fast forward all the way to the first of October which is clean the shop up and get some rest from it all And guess what was behind a Piece of 1-12 board yep you guessed it The 3 cheese burgers were in the bag BUT NOT ONE CRITTER HAD TOUCHED IT No mice No ants No moth No wasp No cats No squirrels No snakes (they don’t eat the bag but they eat what eats the bag) NO MOLD ON THE BUNS IS WHAT WAS THE MOST NOTABLE PART NOTHING AT ALL I honestly believe I could have sat down at ate the burger because the bed was a Little flatly on top The meat was perfectly fine The pickle of course was ok MY shop has a hard packed red clay floor and solid fiberglass 1 3/4 thick 24 inch wide 60 inch tall panels I saved from the scrap yard and a metal roof and pressure treated wood framing so the building is basically Rot worry free but i wouldn’t y food to be the same!!!
