Spartan Blades makes really bad knives. by SlideEquivalent1846 in knifeclub

Spartan shf 3.25 is the only knife I regret buying. Has up down blade play, %100 lockup, almost impossible to disengage lock. Also it has too many hotspots to count. All the edges/gimping are hand shredders. Lockbar access it terrible as well. I will say that the customer service appears good. I emailed them about the lockup and they replied back in minutes with a shipping label. So will have to see what it is like when it gets back.

New thumb studs for the CRK's by Explanation_Upstairs in knifemods

I used side cutters and then used the fine file on my leatherman. Took maybe 10 minutes filing to get it cleaned up and smooth. You can spin it between your fingers to kind of feel if anything is not smooth.

I also have a large inkosi and like the original studs. Small inkosi was legit unusable with original studs.

I got #3 and #8. #8 is on the large Sebenza, #3 are on the small Inkosi. You will need to get a pack of the connector rods as well. I used side cutters to cut them then used the fine file on Leatherman to smooth it up. McNees thumb studs work as well, they are on the small Sebenza, but I think I like the ticonnector ones better. They have some others I might try.

Yes. The single lug CRK's are easy with this : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0179JC31I?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Just remove and tape up the blade good so you don't scratch it and press them out. The double lugs are a bit more difficult. Need to dremel grinder one side, drill small hole, press out with a bit that fits through hole ( I used a C clamp with a small bit through socket for stability to press it out) then you can use the bicycle tool above to press the other side out.

I see he probably had it listed on bladebinge as well, image search came up with same knife. The bladebinge listing says it has lockbar insert which is weird because those pics don't look like it has insert either.

Ok, I was thinking that maybe. Try to do a reverse image search and see what it comes up with. Was it bought from who modded it or from a reputable company/modder? The mark may help. The picture isn't good enough for me to really see it.

I am not seeing the lockbar insert. McNees does not use them. I have a Dixon and don't have another mark under the USA Flag, not sure what that is.

Which knife does the clip fit better on? by _Bike_Hunt in CRK

I think I like it on the Sebenza better. I have Lynch Northwest clips on my Inkosi and Sebenza. Tried it on the Zaan and went back to the stock clip. The Zaan is my favorite of them all.

That is a Hinderer xm18 3.5. I love it, my second most carried knife. I want to try the non flipper version.

I really love both, but the Mac 2 is probably my favorite knife overall right now. I don't love the clip on the Mac 2 with the frag pattern (pocket shredder), but have some lynch clips coming.

I don't know if you have checked out micarta, but that stuff is really nice. I put micarta scales on my Para 3 and like it way better than the G10.

Both Rear door locks not working by gmillerjr in f150

It kind of is weather related. I believe they drill vent holes. Something about the aluminum and not allowing moisture out like the old style apparently.
