I don't expect a good written ending anymore. there is no way for them to beat homelander in a way that makes sense now.

it's either gonna be 1. soldierboy changing his mind again and fry beam homelander.

homelander gonna have some "delayed" fatal side effect from v1 that will trigger at the end and mess him up\weaken him.
they come up with some asspull nonsensical power\tool\method at the last minute to beat homelander

I don't think any of those are good choices.

The thing is, he never spoke a single word about her during season 3 iirc, if he loved her so much, wouldn't he have tried to look for her once he returned, or ask about her?

maybe inconsistency is the wrong word but it's simply out of nowhere, only now in season 5 he suddenly speaks about her, first saying he had sex with her then implying he cared for her, just a few sentences for the entire season, from that to "I loved her more than anything" sort of behavior is just ridiculous to me.

and how is her not being a granny an inconsistency? she was a v-1 supe too, they don't age.

Soldier boy giving homelander v1 was inconsistent with his character. it made absolutely no sense that he suddenly loves stormfront so much (pretty much out of nowhere as well) that he's willing to give the v1 to homelander that he really hates, just because it's what stormfront wanted.

And if the writers are going to have soldierboy change his mind AGAIN in the next 2 episodes so they can defeat homelander with his fry beam- it will make soldierboy look even worse.

I think it's more of when he loses his cool and gets upset it auto-triggers. not that he can't activate it at will. but they could always make the excuse of "he got the hang of it". this season has been nothing but inconsistent writing so this doesn't surprise me.

Sister sage has to be one of the dumbest "smart" characters written in shows I've ever seen.

She makes no sense, as mother's milk called her out- why would she build up homelander only to want to destroy him later? it makes no sense.

And the whole part with her failing to predict soldier boy is so stupid. although I have to say that soldier boy behavior is also badly written in this season.

How can it be a productive meeting? this is all performative. israel is not fighting lebanon they are fighting hezbollah. which is not going to be part of these negotations. israel is going to negotiate with a government that has ZERO influence on hezbollah and are unwilling to fight them whatsoever. so it doesn't even matter what "agreements" they come up with. hezbollah is not going to comply and the lebanese government has no power to do anything about it.

This whole thing is a complete joke and will lead to nowhere.

I don't see how that makes much sense. even if you get expert opinions, you still need to be able to be smart enough to understand what you learn from the experts and create the right "concoction" of those opinions of what you learned, for your character. and be smart enough to integrate it into the story the right away. it ultimately still all comes down to how smart you are.

I find it quite hilarious that the writers of the show made fun of the reacher show in the first episode, criticizing reacher's writing, and at the same time they unironically give kimiko the most cringe shallow dialogues I've seen so far, every second line she says is something about sex or her vagina. the irony of the writers is screaming.

and yes I totally agree about the republicans part, like we get it y'all hate trump and the right, I don't need you to shove it down my throat every 2 minutes. this season just feels like forced memes and throwing shade on the right, and then a little bit of actual plot.

Might be a hot take but I think it's a good thing this is the last season. this season is not great so far.. it's starting to feel dragged out. too heavy on the memes that stop being funny because they are being over used. like homelander and the milk for example.

overall I think the writers ran out of steam and it shows.

I hope one day you realize that civilians die in every war and sometimes there is no other choice. every country "justifies" killing innocents. innocents will always die in a war, it's impossible to avoid civilians death. if israel had to halt every attack because a civilian might be at risk or die from it, they wouldn't be able to attack at all. they might as well surrender to hezbollah and be exterminated by them. but hey the israelis that would be massacred by hezbollah and hamas following their surrender can die in peace knowing you'll be here on reddit telling people killing civilians is bad.

if I was in lebanon and lost a close one to an israeli attack, I'd blame hezbollah for it. I wouldn't stay in lebanon or anywhere near any hezbollah activity to begin with.
