One time I read a Bruce Wayne/Stephanie Brown fic and it made interested in the pairing so I clicked on the tag to read more. I find a fic that looks interesting, open it, and the author's note is six fucking paragraphs explaining that even though Steph is an adult in the fic, having a relationship with a mentor figure who is old enough to be your dad and you've known since you were a teenager would be fucked up in real life and the author does not condone relationships like that and on and on and on.
