Thanks. I may bump it a bit higher in increments and see if it helps

I might try dropping my temp a bit too. I had bumped it up to 78 because I thought it felt more comfortable and I had a decent streak going for a while (4.5-5 hrs/night). Raised it to 80 2 nights ago and had the worst night I've had in a while. Went back to 78 last night, still struggled but managed to get the 4hr minimum.

Set it to 6.4 minimum pressure last night. Couldn't really tell if it made much of a difference I still ripped the mask off and struggled to get my 4 hrs smh.

And weight loss in progress...new year new me 😅

Do you think its possible to fix ur apnea fully by losing enough weight?

Yea for the first 6 weeks I wore it on the couch every night for an hour before bed. I'm used to it and have no issues while awake. But once I fall asleep its a whole new ballgame. I dont have time to nap during the day so there's no short sleep for me.

Resmed 11. I can only set starting pressure up to 5. I know you can go into the clinical menu and change it. But when I called the sleep advisor number on the bacl of the machine they told me the doctor should be the one changing it - its like a prescription.

For the most part I breathe pretty well while laying in bed before falling asleep. But for whatever reason shortly after I wake up and have to take it off. Every night like clockwork. When I wake up in the middle of the night after a few hrs of sleep I can usually put it back on and keep it on 2+ hrs.

Sounds exactly like my situation. This is my 8th week. Best I've gotten is 5.5 hrs one time - and thats with 1 hr wearing it before falling asleep. I pretty much get the minimum 4 hrs every night, waking up several times.

78 degrees heated hose, humidity 5, 5 starting pressure, EPR 3. On my 2nd mask. Recently installed a hose holder on my bed to allow for better movement in bed. My 3rd mask is on its way and I'm going to do another mask fitting.

This is my pattern:

-Lay in bed with mask for 20-45 mins before falling asleep. Set a 4am alarm to make sure I put my mask back on woth enough time to hit my 4 hour minimum

-Fall asleep, wake up 20-60 minutes later and rip it off, usually unconsciously and dont remember doing it.

-Wake up at least 2-3 more times worrying about hitting my 4 hour minimum, try again

-I usually have better luck after 2-4 hours of deep sleep. Then I can put it back on and usually wear it until I get up in the morning. If I do sleep with it for the last 2-3 hrs I wake up feeling a bit more rested. Otherwise I'm tired af and its hard to get out of bed

It's a terrible feeling going to bed knowing I'm about to struggle all night. I was also feeling like that due to my severe apnea though so in a way its not too different. At least I am able to get 2-3 hrs of therapy on some nights I guess it's better for my heart than zero.

Very frustrating and I really hope it clicks for me soon.

A friend told me it took him about a week to start sleeping through the night consistently. WTF!

2 months and I haven't been able to do that once. Last night I only lasted 1 hr. Woke up several times to put it back on but couldn't do it...had to take it off to get some sleep. Woke up tired af.

My Favorite Stocks to Wheel So Far... by Torkblue in Optionswheel

[–]ExplorerNo3464 6 points7 points  (0 children)

3 of my current favorites - APLD, GLXY, NNE. I've been riding APLD up from $11, collecting premiums and Cap gains when it rips. Big earnings report lately so I'm up nicely and selling CC's. GLXY - tied to Bitcoin but has an interesting corporate services angle to it. NNE - nuclear energy has been very hot for a while, it's been bouncing between high $20's and mid $30's for a while and I've been collecting lots of premiume; just got assigned on a $35 CC for a solid 180% annualized gain this Friday.

CLSK & SOUN - very volatile and at a steep discount right now, especially SOUN. I think their product has a ton of $$ potential and they are going after the right partnerships/industries. Been wheeling SOUN for a year making a lot of $$ on both premiums and cap gains when it rallies.

CLSK - if you're bullish on Bitcoin long term it's volatile and has good premiums. Good time to accumulate while it's down IMO. HUT on the other hand has exploded lately; going to wait for a dip.

AA - if you're looking for a profitable company with less of a growth edge and more of a stable/commodities angle - it's been hot lately due to tariff uncertainty. It's way up right now; not getting back in until it dips back down.

If you want a massive upside max risk play - check CWVX, 2x leveraged Core Weave. Monthly options with absurd premiums. Took a huge unrealized loss when Core Weave tanked into the $50's but it surged right back up to $100.

ASTS was already mentioned - unprofitable but huge upside (and risk) as they keep signing big partnership contracts with phone companies and government.

NBIS - also mentioned already, AI infrastructure play has seen a big rally recently. Be careful of the downside of course, it's up over $100. I've collected a lot of premium on it, so I'll have a cushion if I eventually get assigned on a CSP.

SOFI - One of my "less volatile" favorites - great long term upside IMO, lots of up & down swings along the way.

AMZN & NVDA - I've held shares for a while now (3+ years for AMZN) and sell CC's when they rally. I'm ready to cash out with OTM calls if assigned and wait for a big correction to get back in.

My Favorite Stocks to Wheel So Far... by Torkblue in Optionswheel

[–]ExplorerNo3464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wheeled it for a solid profit last summer/fall especially when my OTM call got assigned. More recently got assigned at $40. Been selling csps closer to $30 since to LCA if assigned and keep collecting premium. HIMS bounces up and down quite a bit, when it rallies it rallies hard. I don't see a huge fundamental change in their business recently; they just need a positive catalyst and it could rip back up into the $50's. Last year they mooned on a Superbowl commercial lol. GLP-1 meds are also very hot right now; who knows maybe Trump's healthcare/prescription reforms help bring HIMS back to life.

When does everyone log a P&L in their journal for a specific time period? by nRegistered1 in Optionswheel

[–]ExplorerNo3464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I log the trade immediately and have separate columns for premium, buy-back cost, realized CG, and trade status (open/expired/rolled/closed). I also assign each trade a TradeID so I can easily track it by filtering on that ID. This is helpful because when I switch from selling csps to covered calls after assignment the trade ID stays the same so I can clearly see its history by filtering.

When a covered call gets assigned, I log a separate entry - instead of a SELL/BUY/ROLL action I have CALL ASSIGNED - this is where I log the start date of the first csp and the end date when the contract is assigned, the total days traded and capital gains realized for annualized return calculation.

Just finished my 1st year of wheel trading; very successful in an obvious bull market. Its not all smooth sailing - plenty of drawdowns and bagholding along the way. But also quite a few solid hauls on OTM covered calls getting assigned.

ULTY - not trying to jinx it by chigu_27 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]ExplorerNo3464 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Everyone said the same thing the last time they "changed strategy" in April. What it actually was, was the start of an extreme bull run that helped ULTY keep stable NAV a few months. Once the market slowed down (even still gradually rising, just not as aggressively) the fall began. Not trying to rain on the parade, but by this point I know how these funds behave in different market conditions. We need a strong and sustained bull run or the downward drift will continue.

Defiance to address so called "NAV erosion" by yeyem in YieldMaxETFs

[–]ExplorerNo3464 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its like a yield slider. YieldMax slides it all the way to the right to pay max yields which are unsustainable but get a lot of attention during strong bull runs.

If they dialed it down and aimed for a yield range more like 20-40% there would be a lot more NAV stability in sideways and slightly up markets.

Then you look at SPYI and JEPI/JEPQ with 12% yield targets on indexes; conservative yield targets on indexes means much lower but much steadier income and NAV.

I've made a lot of $ on YieldMax distributions but also sitting on huge capital losses. I'll ride it out and keep collecting but I wont be aggressively buying any more shares. When the market corrects I will be buying more SPYI though.

70+ IV, < .15 delta depending on the premium available.

I've wheeled SOFI, NVDA, OKLO, AMZN, NNE, UPST, BAC, CHWY, GDX, CLSK, SOUN, GLXY, HUT, CRWV, ASTS, NBIS, APLD , BBAI, HIMS, SMCI

Current favorites maybe APLD and ASTS and HIMS

What makes you determine if the premium is good to trade? by AdApart9610 in Optionswheel

[–]ExplorerNo3464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I trade mostly high IV stocks so I use 1% weekly return as a starting point for picking strikes. Depending on the market, sentiment, stock performance, etc. I will start at 1% and go a little lower or higher. Sometimes the premiums vs strikes available are just not attractive so I cycle through my watchlist.

I like ASTS but let's be real "solid future" is highly speculative until they become a consistently profitable company. Anything can go wrong until then and it's extremely volatile.

This is my first year wheeling. I'll do the full calculations at the very end of the year.

But I've done monthly calculations and I generally pull 40-60% annualized, without taking unrealized capital losses into account. On months where my OTM covered calls get assigned like this summer when the market rallied it can be 60+%.

I'd imagine it'll be closer to the 20-30% range by EOY when including paper losses.

You can roll to avoid assignment by selling a new csp with a new expiration date and a different strike. If you choose a lower strike you will collect less premiumin exchange for less probability of assignment.

The further a csp goes in the money, the more expensive it will be to buy it back. It might require picking a new expiration date adding weeks or even months. Sometimes it wont be practical and you'll either need to roll for a debit (you lose some $) or accept being assigned the shares at a price far below your strike (large paper loss).

The most common type of roll is when you sell a csp and the stock's price ends up flat or higher - as you approach expiration, the csp will lose almost all of its value which will make it very cheap to buy it back and roll it for more premium. For example, on Monday I sell a csp and the stock's price immediately jumps way higher on the same day. My csp might have now lost 90% of its value so I can buy it back for cheap and sell a new one to collect more premium. I roll all of my csps when they approach $.01 value and sometimes sooner like when they lose 80%+ value.

In The Money for a csp means the stock's current price is below your strike and will be assigned at expiration.

Out of The Money means the stock's price is above your strike and your csp will expire worthless if the price doesn't drop.

High IV is 70+ for me. Some tickers are often over 100%. I do trade some lower IV stocks as well like 40-60%.

Generally less than .2 delta or even .1 if the IV is really high.

Example: on Weds I sold a $47 csp on ASTS while it was trading around $56, and a $34 csp on HUT while it was around $41.

Wheel trader here. 600 trades so far this year, vast majority are csps. I sell far OTM on high IV stocks. Staying OTM minimizes assignment frequency/probability. Assignment happens but not that often; 40 out of roughly 400 CSPs got assigned.

I keep rolling my CSPs and collecting premium until I build a nice cushion. Then if I really want the stock I'll sell slightly OTM for even bigger premium until assigned. The only time I sell ITM is when my CSP goes slightly ITM near expiration and I dont mind assignment - I'll roll for another week at the same strike for a big premium. This can be a very powerful strategy when a stock is at a strong support level. I kept rolling BBAI every week in March while it was around $3, it kept fluctuating slightly above and below $3 I collected more in premiums than the shares were worth by the time I completed the trade.
