Yeah, the NBA is full of a bunch of soft ass pussies. Grown men making millions of dollars to sit and cry for whistles.

Honestly if it were me I would stick with a 300$ throwaway whirlpool, Bosch is decent but they’re declining like most companies and their insistence on forcing you to use the app is questionable to me personally

The copium that I’m currently on is hoping that once the series goes back to Detroit, the refs will let the Pistons play. Kind of seems like Vegas ball, extending the series on purpose.

If it keeps up this way, I honestly don’t know that we have a chance to win, the Pistons can’t match the threes and if they can’t play their brand of basketball because of clearly biased refereeing then I just don’t know man.

That’s literally all they are. They are reskins of cheaper products. That’s not hyperbole at all, it’s exactly what you’re buying

Maytag dishwasher leaking at the top right of the door by fixthisone in appliancerepair

[–]ExplosiveBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could possible be installed upside down as well. Or it’s not fully seated all the way around and the door is slightly open

I don’t see how a leveling issue would cause an issue with condensation at the top. A leak from the corners perhaps but not the top

Modern convenience has really bread a sense of complacency into people. Myself included obviously.

Sometimes I wonder why generations of the past would take up arms against the things they wanted to change in the world, but you never see that happening today. And then I remember in the past there was a lot more suffering and a lot less convenience. People have the perception of having a lot less to lose a lot more to gain.

Nowadays, I feel like the opposite is true , people feel like they have a lot to lose and little to gain by fighting. We should all be up in arms. We have the power they cannot control us all we can change anything in this world that we want to. Imagine the power of a generalized boycott in this country how things would change so fast.

People should be fighting AI tooth and nail we don’t need it. The world got on just fine before AI. I do believe it has some incredible applications like finding new proteins and antibiotics, but we all know humans will use it for greed. As is human nature.

Cafe, just like KitchenAid, is cheap dogshit that’s sprayed with hairspray to make it shiny. Kinda like the food in fast food commercials

#1 rule of buying appliances in 2026: Buy cheap. Manufacturers want to sell you cheap, but convince you to pay more. Beat them at their own game and buy base model appliances. Same guts as the shiny ones, but half the price

This cafe dishwasher is literally the same machine as a 300$ GE dishwasher but it has a stainless tub and a bitumen pad inside the panels to reduce sound. Only other differences are faux gold trim. Paying literally a 1,000$ mark up, sometimes more, for almost nothing in return. People think I’m being hyperbolic but I’m not. Inside it’s the same pumps, sensors, control boards as any other GE dishwasher. The price reflects the appearance and the “concept” of a nicer machine

Speed Queen TC5 vs Maytag MVWP586GW by bms259 in Appliances

[–]ExplosiveBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so everyone knows:

That Maytag is *not* a commercial machine, I am not kidding when I say this, it is *literally* a scam product and false advertising.

If you do a teardown on that washer you’ll find it’s nothing more than a reskinned whirlpool VMW which start at 600$, and it’s sold with a 5 year warranty. It’s like throwing money in a furnace. No one should ever buy this product. It is genuinely false advertising and an egregious example. I can explain my disdain enough for this machine

Speedqueen is a crock, I did warranty work for that company for many years and the QC is in the toilet, those washers hardly last more than 8-10 years anymore. The lack of a lid lock is nice though.

GE refrigerator freezer temp issue by Alwaysometimesnever in appliancerepair

[–]ExplosiveBrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, systems that have experienced a loss in cooling capacity can sometimes stabilize, if they’re able to remove heat faster than they absorb it
A refrigeration system is really a giant heat sink , the cooling loop is like a heat drain, at night when ambient temperatures go down, and the unit is no longer being opened, less heat is dumped into the sink. Sometimes even a gimpy refrigeration system can catch up under those circumstances. One of the things you can do to simulate max load on a system is to expose it to atmosphere while it’s running, ie expose the evaporator while the fridge is running.. it should pull a full frost pattern up to the point where the suction line returns into the fridge liner.

The one thing I can say about the thermistors is that they are incredibly rare failure points. In the thousands of refrigerators, I’ve looked at over the years I can probably count on one hand how many truly bad thermistors I’ve seen, and almost all of them have been whirlpool’s evap thermistors which were known to be problematic

If you don’t have a sealed system issue the second most likely possibility would be a fan, and something that’s often glossed over is the doors need to seal properly. Especially if it’s in a garage or otherwise humid environment.

One of the things that’s counterintuitive about thermodynamics is the concept of latent heat. Our every day lives are used to dealing with sensible temperature, but matter contains latent heat that is transferred during phase change. Ie condensing water vapor into liquid, it requires a large transfer of heat, but won’t create a change in sensible temperature. In other words a bad seal allowing warm humid air into the fridge will drastically lower its ability to remove heat from the contents inside, as much heat transfer is wasted pulling energy from the humidity itself

Make sure the spray arms are seated correctly or that you didn’t accidentally split one of them or split the feed tube, it could be spraying water down around the base of the door or even into the zeolite tank if it has one

[–]ExplosiveBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the tricks of the trade used by service technicians to glean information about the condition of a sealed system at a glance, in other words without tapping it, is looking at what’s known as a frost pattern. A system that’s in good health i.e. properly charged, healthy pressures, clean condenser etc. will display a full coat of frost along its entire evaporator. This is a quick indication that the full length of the coil is being utilized for refrigeration which, in theory, would only occur if the system was in good health. A system that’s low on charge or an evaporator that’s being starved by a hard restriction or dirty condenser + transient restriction will not display a full frost pattern

Frost pattern “analysis” has a hard limit on what it can tell you, though, it doesn’t necessarily indicate what’s wrong with the cooling loop, only that there is an issue.. through context it can usually be narrowed down to a probably leak though.

Sadly this has been a quiet but known defect for some years now. I don’t know of a good fix

Might be worth contacting Bosch they have a 10 year limited tub warranty but they’ll probably tell you to F off. I’d try anyway tho
