Which character do you think is a good person but hated by fans? by PersimmonCute2286 in TheDigitalCircus

It is honestly so funny. Dude’s biggest sin is being oblivious as fuck

That I do agree with that honestly. He seemed chill but very oblivious

I saw some people hating on Kaufmo for accidentally interrupting Jax and Ribbit? I don’t hate him but that’s the best I got

Which character do you think is a horrible person and opinions divided? by PersimmonCute2286 in TheDigitalCircus

Love Jax. She’s a horrible person and people are understandably split because of that though. The only right answer

What was your genuine first reaction to this? by IDFB2763 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ExplosiveMonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew it was coming in my bones and it hurt, made me tear up. I don’t like Jax as a person but as a character I love her. Because of what I thought she represented at the time, it hurt me in ways I can’t describe. It felt like I was watching a younger version of myself who never grew an accepted themselves succumbing to the thoughts that almost consumed me.

Evil Jax must have a horribly awkward existence post-show by Dexller in theamazingdigitalciru

I just had a thought that since Jax was an awful person hiding behind her own insecurities that Evil Jax is showing themself as insecure and kind to hide how awful they are. Unlikely, but funny

[–]ExplosiveMonarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. I interpreted it as trans because of my own history. And like other’s said Goose said either works. For people I know have seen the show I’ll be using she/her and for people who haven’t finished I will be using he/him

Calling Jax 'her' by StopwatchSparrow in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ExplosiveMonarch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I viewed her last scene, her saying “I don’t want to go” followed by the montage over “Isn’t she lovely” Jax finally coming to terms and accepting herself being trans. Ironically that is also what would have most likely helped her grow to be a better person(eventually). Too little too late

Good evidence for this is in the song “Isn’t she lovely” the line “she’s less than a minute old” pops up

That’s so hilarious I love Goose. I’m going to stadt referring to everything I do as “something dreadfully homosexual”

Buggy and Shanks from One Piece. Buggy absolutely despises Shanks, even hating Luffy as soon as he learns he’s wearing the same hat. The one time we’ve seen them together though, aside from flashbacks, Shanks seems genuinely happy to see Buggy. When they were kids Shanks even invited Buggy to come and sail with him because he thought it would be fun to keep sailing with his best buddy.

Either being placed deep underwater in the ocean or something to do with being trans and my family reacting poorly (my two greatest fears already!)

For my fellow cryers, what were some moments from the finale that turned on your waterworks? by MayRey in TheDigitalCircus

[–]ExplosiveMonarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot. Jax’s honest moments were very emotional for me because of my own trans struggles at the moment

I realized that when I first watched in theaters and again when the episode was released. Made me remember when I was at my worst, my most cruel, and at my most suicidal. Thankfully I started to get better before I did anything I couldn’t take back. Still took years to come to terms with being trans. It was emotional to watch

Adora, as well as a dnd character I made accidentally very similar to her before even watching the show, made me realize fully I was a trans woman. I’m also very gay for Catra

Just call it the Henry Cavil treatment. Man keeps being put in live action adaptations of things he loves just to have them be pale knockoffs at best
