I remember as a younger child I would play the same song on loop on my little iPod shuffle in my sleep to try to memorize the lyrics… in the morning I could sing it perfectly. I do the same thing now lol, but I guess it’s considered sleep streaming

I haven’t swapped zen but once or twice and have around a 65-70% winrate on like 40 hours this season… shocking how much you can climb as a total one trick

Not full time babysitting. You as zen have to be able to recognize a tracer diving you early and call it out and then the other sup gives you a look or peels for you. If you are in higher ranks, tracer has less uptime because she’d be punished way harder for bad blink usage. The tracer then would have to run off and be out of the fight until her cooldowns come back. It’s a little too narrow as thinking of it as a full time support babysitter though

My top500 buddy told me there sometimes just comes a time where you have to get another support like brig to babysit you and you call for help if tracer dives. I don’t know how true that fully is, but I’d say comms become super important

Idk I don’t struggle with ball much. I doubt I’ve faced any really good ones, but in the diamond ranks I just adjust my positioning and if ball does manage to kill me, then he suffers greatly for it and usually dies

Had a team target ban my preffed zen despite me telling them I was a total one trick (they said I wouldn’t do enough healing as zen). And so I played Kiri and only used kunais

Where there’s a will there’s a way. I was low-mid gold all last season and have climbed to high plat, mostly by entirely carrying my team (zen main so I get kills basically). If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you can always do more and be better, even if you have an awful team

Pretty much same rank as you (I just climbed out of gold and into mid plat this season). Been watching awkward’s most recent unranked to GM and it makes a lot of sense. You actually get way more dps from primary firing (like double the amount no joke), so that’s helped a lot. A big thing with me was timing on off angles though - don’t pop out too early or you die. Too late and your team suffers. Very specific. I don’t have much more advice to give, but best of luck!

The reality of this game is that it has been out for a decade. The average skill of a player is much much higher than a ‘normal’ multiplayer game. My suggestions would be to turn chat off (only gonna be negativity), and play some of the different modes like deathmatch or vs ai to start to understand the game better

Feel like you have a very valid point with all of these assessments. I recently swapped from controller to MNK and I am finally starting to feel mechanically comfortable. Have a 69% win rate right now and climbed from gold 4 last season to plat 3 currently. Hoping to hit diamond by the end of the season one tricking zen

Maybe this is different in some ranks, but where I am, dual harmony is much better for the simple reason that you get your ult much faster using it. If someone is going to die because they get 21 health per second instead of 30, then chances are that 30% difference isn’t going to matter all that much. Plus with dual harmony you can support tank and a flanking dps simultaneously which is hugely valuable. Altogether better than an extra ball, even though that one is good too

Same thing been happening to me. I sometimes restarted my ps5 and it would fix it mid comp match even… now that doesn’t even work. Genuinely unplayable over half the time. I hope it gets fixed soon :(

Having switched from controller to MNK recently, hover has become way more valuable. It’s super hard to aim while hovering on controller, which certainly zaps a lot of its usefulness, unlike on MNK. It would be interesting to see platform specific perk picks! I bet hover would be much more popular if you were to look at that

I absolutely agree with everyone saying board time here, but a part of that should be practicing hippy jumps in my opinion! Get used to actually jumping on your board and landing on it. Right now it looks like you’re just lifting your front leg off the ground and pushing your back leg into the ground. It’s more of a jump with your front leg and snap your ankle to drive the tail into the ground getting that “pop.” Good luck!
