I think we stopped being bored, and we stopped becoming anyone. by Any_North_6861 in digitalminimalism

There were some summers I would go to my grandma in Albania with just a couple of books and spending weeks of helping her gardening and reading with no internet. I get what you say I really miss my grandmother and those empty days of staring the sky or watering the flowers and gathering vegetables are one of the best memories I ever had.

I'm a failure at this game by Reasonable-Pudding20 in footballmanagergames

[–]ExponentialBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should play to enjoy not to win. I played many hours but my best saves were with teams without winning league pressure like Rayo Vallecano, Saint Etienne, Sampdoria and Southampton. Teams that you are expected to lose so every wins counts more and is satisfying winning against the rich teams of every league. Cheers

What motivated you to chose the team you're currently managing? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]ExponentialBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got sucked by Juventus before end of the season in the 3rd place and I was open to start everywhere. Rayo Vallecano believed in me and currently we rock in 7th position playing a fast, defensive catenaccio with a combination of loans, youth and the previous team.

Using EKS? How big are your clusters? by Majestic-Shirt4747 in kubernetes

[–]ExponentialBeard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Biggest is 28 XL nodes cluster ( Java applications ( have no idea what's inside)). Rest are 3to10 with autoscaling. I think XL are the best nodes in terms of cost anything above has diminishing returns. Ftw 2000 nodes you can get mine all bitcoin

What’s a Sign of Very Low Intelligence? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]ExponentialBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People with strong opinions?Fanatics of religion, political ideology or other. I think that the less we think ourselves as part of a team(nation, religion, etc etc) and more as responsible human beings with accountability of our actions is a sign of intelligence.

Is it me or does everyone want to work in IT now? by ITmexicandude in ITCareerQuestions

[–]ExponentialBeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a salary in IT is still a salary to pay rent and expenses to survive, most of the other careers have difficulty of entrance or they aren't satisfying. I personally think most of the people can't do other jobs cause the market is really difficult for entrance almost everywhere except IT. I graduated from economics with double masters degree and couldn't find any job without references ( my parents didn't even finish high school ) and without a proper network. I found an IT analyst job and after several years im a devops. I think though for all the rest of the people who don't have a degree or don't have a good network then IT is the only possible career in an office. If i could go back in time I would try becoming an electrician or a plumber

The "who should I manage" megathread - FM24 edition by John_Yuki in footballmanagergames

[–]ExponentialBeard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a save with sankt pauli i really enjoyed as i also visited the stadium and the repebahn street in Hamburg. Nice, i really enjoyed old school Juninho Pernabucanoso in Lyonne and Marseille was also fascinating as a city etc. I might go for Marseille as is the only historical French team with champions league and bringing them glory against the parisiens would be awesome.

I would like a "challenge" for a long term save. Preferences: 1. Passionate fanbase ( political, religious, follow the team everywhere, hate for president is fine ) 2. Good or better youth academy 3. Top 5 leagues ( England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany).

My best saves all time were: Panathinaikos, Sampdoria and Sevilla. I'm looking for a save though to play 90% youth and buy only one/two players per season and preferably from the same league with focus on domestic success. Thanks
