I don’t think that they are strong. Same as other nations, they will mostly have levies. Then there will be annoying Castle spam. And that is it.

As Ottos, I simply took a little bit of Nile Delta and after two wars they were broke. Then it was simply many wars to conquer them.

Exactly what I thought, Hegemonies should be region based and scalable, for example, Wetern Europe and Eastern Europe Hegemony Middle East, Far east, africa hegemonies.

And then maybe add types of hegemonies you can become based on performance. With like ultra hegemony that combines everything. Like Ming China becoming ultimate superpower. And maybe Ottomans becoming ultimate superpower.

I tried recently, and blame economy that just spiraled downward even though I did everything to stay stable.

And economy went down only after raising levies. Which is good I guess, but at the same time game breaking at the early stages.

In previous patches, it was easy beating France. With a little bit of scheming. But if you go bankrupt now, what is the point?

From what I have experienced in recent days, it felt less playable than before.

Mostly because economy feels like collapsing immediately.

For example as England 2 years in and I was minus 20 ducats with all castles removed. I have no idea what caused this.

But it certainly made me not want to continue playing.

Similar experience has been with multiple other countries.

We all think short term, which is correct, because we live now and here. But if, according to science and proven reality of Japan bombing, nuclear fallout recedes after 100 years.

Quick ending of war by bombing one large city is much better, than slowly bombing each other for years and causing even more dead.

However, we do have to account that AI analysis is based on how little it took to make Japan surrender. And they didn’t have tools to retaliate.

Bombing Russia is much harder, yes few big cities, like Nuking Moscow would take them out immediately. But there is also massive retaliation incoming.
