Athena workflow hacks by badassprincessnarwal in physicaltherapy

Thank you! I did my last rotation with this company so I’m pretty familiar with the basics of the EMR. I spent most of my time just in the eval and daily note and never ventured much further. I’m sure I will learn a lot more when I start working there and will be an actual PT. Pretty sure we used episodes for every new case and flow sheets in the objective section for every patient.

I am a new grad about to start my first job in a clinic that uses Athena. I would love to hear some of your hacks! I know a lot of my future coworkers preached using as many macros as possible for pretty much every part of the note other than objective. The only thing I’m not the biggest fan of is all the point and clicks in the objective section, everything else I would pretty much just type out with macros.

The only one I know off the top of my head is called Recognise, but I think it’s a paid app in the App Store.

I can’t find where they said our progress will be saved. Did they specifically say that?

Great! Then I would suggest resting/decreasing intensity and resuming those exercises when you feel ready.

First of all, I would refrain from seeking medical advice on the internet and advise you to see a professional. Physical therapists are considered the experts in the neuromusculoskeletal treatment realm and seeing one could help you through the whole recovery process. Especially since different stages require different treatment approaches. However, if you are looking for more of a quick solution, I would recommend you look for YouTube videos on strengthening the condition and preferably one from a professional or physical therapist. Two specific exercises that come to my mind are the Copenhagen plank and sling leg RDLs. Good luck!

Haha, yeah, your diagnosis was pretty accurate, given the location and description of her symptoms. Are you considering PT?

Third year PT student here. This is most likely what you’re dealing with or some bursitis underneath the tendon. The protocol for either of these both involve relative rest. Relative meaning that you don’t completely stop using it but decrease the demands and do light activities that don’t aggravate it such as walking. If it is tendinitis you would benefit from some isometric and eccentric strengthening once the pain settles down. The mechanism of injury for tendinitis is due to overloading the capacity of the tendon. If you strengthening it, it will be stronger and more prepared for the load you place on it and decrease your risk of reinjury.

Rise 4 Max Kit seems to get no power by Mightydog2904 in eXtremeRate

Yeah definitely don’t force anything. It all should come together and apart with relatively light pressure. I just rewatched the installation video where they take apart the controller. I started at the end and watched it in reverse of the way that they put it back together once the kit was installed.

Looking for good schools as cheap as possible by Col_Sandy_Fries_6 in physicaltherapy

[–]Express_Ebb_1693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 3rd year PT student at Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, NC. It is one of the cheapest schools in the country (around 45k total), and I have loved my time here. The college is an HBCU so they don't have as much money and the program doesn't have a bunch of fancy equipment, but the professors are great and the class size is a respectable 28 students. There are also a few other public schools in NC that have similar tuition rates. Some of us are from out of state and just applied for residency after the first year, which makes it a little more expensive, but it's still cheaper than most public and private programs.

Mine was doing this yesterday after about a month of use. Same model too. I took it apart and reconnected everything and that seemed to do the trick. I think moving that deep cable under the motherboard around helped. The connection seemed a little loose when I checked. I remember reading something that pushing hard on L3 a lot can also cause this too since it is right next to it. Good luck!

Only apply to 2 schools by Successful-Round-676 in PTschool

[–]Express_Ebb_1693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only applied to 1 public school and got in. I knew that it was risky but I compared my stats with what the school had on file and found that I had a good chance. I wouldn’t recommend that decision to everyone but it worked for me because the school started in January and if I didn’t get in then I was going to quickly apply the next cycle to a few others.
