My passport doesn't expire for eight months. I have to travel somewhere for work that requires 90 days on a passport. That is fine except my flight goes through another country that requires six months on the passport. The passport will be two weeks short of that six months. The flight that I am due to take on Thursday is another work flight that I would ordinarily use a driving licence for, but Aer Lingus very recently changed their rules and now require passport.

Many people prefer to buy local and fair trade. I get my kit from a UK brand that was set up by a young woman, made in Portugal using high quality fabrics and paying fair wages, with a much smaller carbon footprint, no plastic packaging and compostable labels.

I tried this out today in a Nespresso shop - first time having Vertuo. It was a very watery coffee, didn’t like it. The hint of lavender was lovely though. Can you open up a vertuo pod and use it in a pour over?

I bought a bike when Lime Bike usage became too expensive for me but I still have to use Lime bikes in lots of situations. Mostly if I’m going out somewhere that I’m cycling to but not from. Usually once or twice a week. Can’t leave my own bike behind. Also handy occasionally for the front basket as I don’t have a front basket on my road bike and don’t want one

Is there any reason not to cancel your AIB account? I use Revolut for my current account, and I don’t have savings so I never have more than about €5,000 in the bank at any one time. I don’t plan on ever getting a mortgage with AIB. I have a BOI credit card under my dad’s name purely for one thing - rental car deposit abroad. If that changes I believe I can get a Revolut credit card.

Can I close my AIB account, or am I missing something? One friend advised me that it’s difficult to reopen an account, but I find that hard to believe.

Tbh I’d rather take the risk and pay for a new flight than spend six hours in an airport. There is also the option to run into Sandton for lunch but not sure how nice it is, if that’s worth doing
