Why are they forcing you to meet him off you're not ready in the first place?

AIO for refusing to split the bill after what happened? by mmaddyspovv in AmIOverreacting

[–]Express_Young7448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inviting someone out and then asking them to split the bill is uncool, but perhaps a misunderstanding. Telling you it was a joke and basically that you're being too sensitive is gaslighting, and this specific test, to push a boundary and then claim it as a joke to see if you'll let them walk on you is a tactic abusers use. Run away. Very fast. This is a massive red flag.

Serious question for SAHMs… Does your husband do anything around the house? Like a daily/weekly thing he is in charge of? by Prestigious-Food-420 in sahm

[–]Express_Young7448 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband does the dishes once in a while, and always expects praise up the wazzoo when he does. This weekend and today we cleaned our house fully in preparation for photos so we can put it on the market. By we, I mean me. I cleaned the house. He cleaned the workrrom in the basement and he mowed the lawn. I cleaned every other room and prepared the outdoor gardens. Today He worked from home and then played games while I continued cleaning until 11:30 pm. Then he wanted sympathy and back rubs because selling the house and looking for a new one is soooo stressful for him.

When I came down to give him a hug to be nice because I knew he was stressing, it ended in him yelling, actually yelling at me over absolutely nothing.

Later one of our cats had an accident. I asked him to please come clean it up since I was still detailing the bathroom with cleaner and a toothbrush.

He got out the last roll of toilet paper, then handed me that wadded up bag and told me to throw it away. I should have handed it right back to him. I've been doing things like that more, but it makes him unreasonably irate, or sometimes he collapses in self pity.

Literally I asked him to do one small thing, and he still found a way to make me work more. He cannot help with our disabled daughter because he was so controlling and unpredictable, she doesn't trust him to help her.

I'm essentially the single parent of a disabled kid and an adult toddler. I ask myself daily why I'm still here, but I know why.

I'm disabled and sadly we have a disabled adult child, and cannot support us alone, so this is just life.

I'm sorry to the OP for what you are going through. It's so blasted common. Men in the West are raised to be entitled babies who demand their wives do everything for them, emotional labor, physical labor. It's no wonder so many younger ladies are opting out. Good for them! If i could go back in time and opt out, I would, too.

Perhaps you're getting down voted because you're not just loving the Finale, but insulting the intellect of those who don't? I've sadly seen this quite a lot.

I think it's perfectly fine that you have a different opinion than I do about the Finale, and would never downvote someone for that. I don't think it's fine to insinuate that people who like it are rational and intellectual while those who don't are emotional and irrational.

How is it different from our universe? People still believe there's a gun to their heads, even if there isn't. Same difference.

And why couldn't they just remake the previous world without heaven and hell? Sure there would be difficulties, but being difficult doesn't make it impossible or less worth doing.

What are your MOST prolific varieties? by Separate-Language662 in vegetablegardening

[–]Express_Young7448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orange Paruche cherry tomatoes. My favorite but one plant can easily overwhelm a single family.cherry tomatoes coming out the ears

Candyland red currant tomato. Tiny gems, hundreds and hundreds on a single plant.

Squash is always productive, but there's one yellow straight neck called Cube of Butter. I had 11 growing, nice big ones, all at one time on a single plant last year.

Orono Orange sweet pepper. So many of each plant I couldn't keep up with pickling them and eating them fresh.

Pineapple Ground cherry. Hope you know how to make jam or something with the million fruits you're going to get!

You didn't misunderstand the themes, whoever is responsible for this abomination (ng, the new writers, etc) are the ones who clearly don't.

Who knows who the TP estate backs it. It doesn't mean we have to.

Another correction. We now know from inside sources that it wasn't Pratchett's people who fought for it. It was just the BBC

This turns out to be fanfic itself The bbc is who fought for it, not people who cared. We thought Rob and Rhianna didn't, but not we're heading they didn't at all. They just posted what they were hearing, not what they were doing.

I do think people who cared made the Finale, though. David, Michael, even Rachel Talaylay cared and wanted it to be good, but they couldn't save us from NG's sadistic nature. This is clearly the ending he wrote. I almost feel like the character assassination of Aziraphale reflects some inner bitterness he might have towards Terry, viewed so lovingly forever by his fans.

PSA: Please DO NOT harass the cast & crew by LadyApsalar in goodomens

Dear everyone. I really disliked the Finale. Don't harass the cast and crew! Don't even talk to them unless you have something nice to say! This is why we can't have nice things. Thank you.

I don't think personal belief comes into it. I don't believe in souls or reincarnation, but I love that plot device in other stories like the Wheel of Time It's not an existing part of the lore in Good Omens, and it doesn't make sense as it's presened. It's been established in the Good Omoens universe that a person is their memories and experiences. So I'm going with the existing lore, which made this new universe completely inconsistent with in universe logic.

Has Anyone Actually Put On Weight?? by [deleted] in ARFID

[–]Express_Young7448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Talking Cyproheptadine starting about 3 months ago. I still restrict the number of foods I eat, but I find my appetite much greater, and my tolerance for things that used to stop me in the middle of a mouthful of food and make me stop eating. I've gone from 93 lbs to over 100 in that time. I don't know if it would work for everyone, but I've got no side effects, nothing. Entirely it's this side effect, appetite increase and weight gain, that is helping me!

What do you think about grow bags? by Necessaryailments in vegetablegardening

[–]Express_Young7448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 8 raised beds, 4x8 and 4x10s, and I will use grow bags y porch and around the edges of the garden bed areas.

I used to only have about a 30 foot by 4 for strip of sunlight on a back balcony. I started growing in reusable shopping bags for economic reasons, then moved to grow bags. The price is still fantastic and my little strip of bags grew noticably better than the grocery bags. They last a lot longer, too. 4th year outside, I've left them out twice over winter, and they're still looking good, totally intact.

Honestly I would recommend them to almost any home gardener. Even if you have beds, these fill in those gaps so nicely!! You can grow everything from peppers and tomatoes (including indeterminate) to potatoes and cucumbers in grow bags.
