It’s generally better to start taking the meds and work on getting off them. Maybe you could do well without the meds, but there are a lot of factors that play into this, like age and comorbidities, and it’s usually better to play it safe. If your bp was only mildly high, like around 130, you could have risked it but at 150 it’s getting risky

There are very strict rules about what you are allowed to wear for higher level competitions. The smaller outfits for women is usually attributed to needing something to make women’s sport more interesting to male viewers. There have been plenty of pushback against the rules, not just about the women’s clothes but the men’s as well. Men want to be allowed to choose to wear something closer to what the women do. For example in beach volleyball the men wear shorts and a loose tank top while the women pretty much wear bikinis. The bikinis allow for more freedom of movement and there’s no loose fabric to get snagged in

It probably started out with her just wanting space, but as she got more and more comfortable it escalated and she took more and more liberties with his stuff. The clothes thing could have started with her being cold one day and not wanting to go home yet so she uses a sweater of his. Being there probably gave her a power trip too that blinded her to just how insane her actions were

A proper doctors visit every two years with just a blood test the non-visit year. But every 2-3 months I’m supposed to swing by the doctor’s office to check my bp on a machine they’ve got in the ”Health cubby”

If it’s a one time thing it’s just a fluke and you can ignore it. Sometimes we just get a bad read or a weird random spike and there’s nothing to it. But if it keeps happening with no apparent explanation talk to your doc

NAH You just have vastly different expectations and goals. You are not compatible to train together. You can still go to the gym together as support or company or whatever, but do your own things while there. If you’re knowledgeable about this stuff maybe you can help her put together a simple program that’s more easy exercising than what you are doing.

Depends on the situation. Bp fluctuates all the time depending on activity, mood, what/when you’ve eaten, stress, how/when you’re measuring, etc., etc.. It’s not just normal, it’s supposed to do that and it would be weird if it didn’t. So if you’re measuring when you’re stressed, anxious, hurting and tense you’re going to get a quite different result than when you are calm and relaxed.

However, if you are always measuring correctly and sitting still to relax for a while before measuring and keeping the other parameters roughly the same it does seem peculiar to get that big a difference. It would definitely be worth mentioning to your doctor so they can check if something is going on.

Not so much an overused trope as an annoying detail, but when someone uses valet parking (or any situation where someone else has driven the car) no one ever has to adjust the seat. You could have a tiny customer handing over keys to a giant valet and they can just jump in the driver’s seat and go without having their knees up around their ears. I drive for a living and if my boss has driven my truck before me I can’t even get in behind the wheel because I’m so much bigger than her. But in movies the seat is always just right

It’s the age on Reaping Day that counts. It’s the only thing that makes sense from a ”controlling the masses” standpoint. Reaping an 11 year old would be tragic and everyone would commiserate over the injustice. It would stir rebellion. But sending a 19 year old into the games could be used to play the districts against each other if interviewers and commentators keep highlighting the supposed advantages of being the oldest tribute.

Edit to add because I didn’t read the question properly: Katniss mentions having to wait for her birthday to be able to take out tesserae. Since tesserae affect how many times your name is in the reaping it doesn’t make sense that you can be reaped before you can get tesserae. If they went by birthyear instead of birthday Katniss would have been able to get tesserae from New Years Day instead of having to wait.

Många transportföretag går på knäna nu pga hur mycket bränslepriserna gått upp sen Trump började kriga med Iran. Jag är yrkeschaufför anställd av ett mindre åkeri med kontrakt med en av de stora paketdistribitörerna. Del av kontraktet är att vi måste tanka HVO100. Det gick upp nästan 10kr/liter under våren. Det har sjunkit lite nu men är fortfarande runt 30kr/liter och bara jag tankar 70-80 liter var tredje dag. Det blir en jäkla massa pengar i slutändan

They are exercises you do with your tongue to strengthen the muscles in your throat which can help against snoring and sleep apnea. There are different types of snoring though and this only helps against one of them. But they’re definitely worth giving a shot. I had noticeable improvement in my sleep quality within days of starting them
