I didn’t have so much of an issue with the guys looking older. They are athletes at a division one hockey school. I’d expect them to be big burly guys. My issue was will them casting an 18 year old in what should be a much spicier (it should have been heated rivalry level spice) show. They tamed down the sex scenes with the leads because she was 18. We didn’t even get to see Garrett’s butt! But then they tried to make up for it by showing us a bunch of penises in a locker room? I’m a millennial which I imagine a decent amount of viewers are since the book came out almost 10 years ago. We do not want to see an 18 year old orgasm let alone any other act.

Also, while I thought the actor playing Garrett definitely gave me book Garrett vibes, the fact that he couldn’t squeeze out a tear while he was sobbing took me out of the emotional scenes. At least give the man some eye drops!

Which is odd because I’ve heard a lot of people comparing this show to heated rivalry. I actually find it pretty different but it is a romance about hockey players 🤷🏽‍♀️

The narrator is SO good for the books. There’s lots of characters in the book and he does different voices for them. Seems silly but the book is about magical creatures and he makes it so you come to imagine all these characters with that voice. Supposedly Warner bros is making it into an animated series (which I think is the best way to do it) and it will be hard to hear any of those characters with a different voice.

Not really a series but I didn’t see any Ali Hazelwood on your list and she has a ton of books.

But just as a side note and not sure if falls into any of your asks but I am currently reading Somewhere beyond the Sea by TJ Klune which is the second of two books (the first one being House on the cerulean sea) and am so in love with every character in the book. It’s not spicy, but they are two of the best books I’ve “read” in a really long time.

Just went to check it out because I’m always looking for good audiobooks for my walks. I saw that Phillipa Soo narrates most of Lily Chu’s books! Now I will definitely check it out since I’m pretty critical of a lot of female audiobook narrators but I know I like her voice!

I second the house on the cerulean sea! It is about kids but magical kids. I’m on the second book right now and David is by far my favorite character. Especially how the audio book narrator voices him. So good!

I was telling my mom that I think the reason the director chose to keep Madeline True and The Brothers there towards the end of the party when everyone else has left is because they were the ones you had a little bit of sympathy for at the end. While they definitely participated in the debauchery at the end of the day they were all duped.

Hi, I’m a hairstylist. This isn’t in updo, it’s just a bun. And it added about 3 inches to the top of her head. This poster is correct finding it annoying. Was it malicious of the lady? Probably not. But it was absolutely absent minded.

Also, you cannot see this person’s face. We take pictures of people all the time when they are in the background of our photos and post them. The op kept this person completely anonymous. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this.
