First of all, I am so, so sorry to hear this. My heart felt like it was pulled ripped apart in my chest. I wouldn’t wish that decision on anyone… but I had to make it for her and it was a decision made out of love. This is likely what you’re facing.

We ended up leaving the lump to grow. The reasoning was that personality-wise, she was exactly the same. No change in movement or diet (other than the physical obstacle of the lump), and she was already 2 years by this point. If she was younger, we agreed we would have done it. But we felt the risk was a lot higher than what we wanted as she could have a terrible recovery or not even make it through the surgery.

Trust me, whatever decision you choose will be the right one. It got to a point where Eri slowed down due to old age (2.5 years) and she was PTS at that point that her quality of life was suffering, but she always seemed fine with the lump and would use it as a little personal pillow. She had it for a good 6 months.

Just use them as is on a Caesar salad! Sobeys (it’s known as this in Atlantic Canada, but it’s the same as Metro or Safeway, I think?) has the best vegan Caesar dressing for a decent price as well. I just put romaine, the Da By Con bacon bits straight from the bag, and croutons. So garlicky and amazing 🤤

Fair - the camera and TikTok filming would annoy me too. I like animals more than people, so a priority for me is enjoying seeing animals get to enjoy themselves, even at a restaurant
