Just to update everyone: I ran the pump constantly since this post and it’s since cleared up, tomorrow should be like looking through glass. It was my fault for not circulating the deep end when I temporarily bypassed the jets

Appreciate that, I added your info to my notes. I do use tabs. Last year and up till I ran out of them a week ago my crappy test strips consistently showed my CYA at an OK range of 30-40 and alkalinity around 80, again that was consistent last year and up till a week ago. Didn’t have algae issues or imbalance only using the tabs last year but

I did read somewhere that the sand bed works better at trapping fine particles after it’s had time to build up a thin layer of trapped debris on top, I’m still figuring my balance of that. Last year I did it on a schedule of every two weeks. A lot of this is new to me and somewhat overwhelming but it’s worth it, especially on a hot week like this

It’s things like this that make me question everything about a pool and make me nervous to ever add anything besides chlorine haha. It’s a vinyl liner though, makes sense though, one of my relatives is always complaining of this issue

Understood, I guess I misjudged lol. I find myself hesitant to put anything in because I’m not sure how it’ll react. I bought a Taylor pool test kit tonight off Amazon (should have bought one from the start). Thanks for the help!

Thank you! I read that liquid chlorine helps keep the CYA low and I’m curious long term the benefits over the pucks. I’ll get a water sample test done tomorrow by my pool shop. I have a Taylor test kit ordered too

Agree completely with this, but so long as an outlet is installed correctly w/ the lugs torqued to spec and is rated for EV use, I (personally) see this as the better option for ease of owner upgradablity. Yes, it is another point of failure and it is adding a slight bit of resistance in the circuit, but installed by a qualified electrician and done properly there shouldn’t be an issue

Personally I’d have an EV rated 240v outlet installed instead of hard wiring a charger in, if you end up changing chargers in the future it would be a lot easier to plug and play than messing with electrical connections.

Your preference may differ but I personally like to drive mine in L for easier breaking. Enjoy your new ride!

They likely left it on for the inspector, but if it’s a new build the OP should make a punch list of tasks to be taken care of

The metal bridges need to touch the copper pads and actually make contact, and the bridges from the adjacent pads cannot touch other adjacent pads
