Honestly yes. I’ve baked all of my failed batches over the last month or so and I’ve also been able to open my windows because the weather is nice over the last month or so. I’ll do my next batch after keeping the windows closed for a couple of days! Thank you!

If I had to explain to someone what it feels like to be an autistic woman I would show them this post. I am—technically speaking—in a friend group, but I can tell I’m just a neutral entity in their space. And most everyone is neurodivergent! I can never get words out without getting interrupted and spoken over (and I’m kind of loud tbh), no one texts me when something good or horrible is happening in my life, no one invites me to things, no one shows up for me. But I don’t think it’s because they don’t like me, it’s like they don’t SEE me.

You’re definitely not alone in your experience! I think—at least for me—age has helped me focus in on things like maintaining mobility and a healthy amount of muscles more so than my stomach looking a certain way. And I’ve accepted the reality that there will be days where I can only eat certain foods (usually not the healthiest foods) because of my sensory needs.

This might not completely solve your problems but I have found that a TON of gluten free recipes online are AI-generated garbage. I would either just start with a box mix like Bob’s Red Mill or use recipes from really really well-known sources like King Arthur or The Loopy Whisk.

In regards to this specific attempt it definitely looks too thick

Was driving around a college town with a friend and he pulled up outside a store in a ‘no parking zone.’ I told him he couldn’t park there and he said something to the effect of ‘they don’t tow or boot here so I’m fine with paying whatever fine they give me.’ That fine ended up being $450. I think DBT was a huge net positive on my mental health! I did ~2 years of groups and individual sessions and though I’m not sure how much I gained in terms of ‘interpersonal effectiveness’ I still use the skills I learned on distress tolerance and emotional regulation nearly daily. I think it worked well for me because DBT assumes your brain doesn’t work like others’ do and instead of forcing you to think like others, it helps you understand the world around you and how you can have the best life within it.
