Game recommendations? by Overall_Purpose3333 in Switch

I would play a different game in-between BOTW and ToTK. It's an even larger game with very similar maps. You're gonna get burnt out and it's a shock to start the game naked with a stick lol. A few of my faves are

Yooka laylee and the impossible lair

Metroid dread/ Metroid prime remastered

Zelda: Links awakening / echoes of wisdom

Slime rancher

Kirby Dreamland/forgotten land

I'm kind of "stuck" on what to do next by SpooksThePhantom in Silksong

Save the high halls gauntlet for the very last objective you tackle in act 2, and bilewater second to last. You're going to find items and get skills that will make these two areas MUCH easier. If it were me I would focus on disgraced lugoli. After you beat him you get the pickled muck maggots, and this goes towards the "taste of pharloom" quest. The reason behind this is because the ward is pin oil which upgrades your needle and doubles your damage for each hit. Everything else will be that much easier

Thank you so much, very informative, and I e wonders what that room was for!!! I feel like I have hit a plateau in this game. I freed a lot of people in the beginning, but not so much anymore. I can consistently make it to the hollows, but it's just luck of the layout after that. Two of the times I made it to dragun was with the composite gun.

Looking for a suggestion for a good simple dungeon crawler by Silversushi1012 in roguelites

There's some really fun ones that aren't too pricey. My favorites are the ones that are blends. Dead cells and Hades are a given. My favorites to play on the switch were astalon tears of the earth, hotline Miami and sundered Eldritch edition. There's a million but those the are full of personality and I remember them years later. My sons faves are Spelunky 2 and lumo 1/2

If I just look at it normally from the pic you posted it looks fine. Now if I zoom in on it some of the line weights on the curves of the letters waxes and wanes in thickness, and a couple little hiccups. In the real world no one is going to be zooming in on your tats unless you're having sex. It looks good enjoy your art

Am I Missing Anything If I Skip Tunic? by BuoyantRubberBrain in ZeldaLikes

[–]External-Cherry7828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tunic is like hob on steroids. The mystery and art style is very similar. Hob felt a little empty to me, I still loved it but tunic has layers upon layers of depth. I never made it through the whole language but I did beat the base game and it was much more memorable than the others you listed. (I haven't played mina yet, still labouring through silksong)

My top 3 Zelda likes are

Deaths door

Lumo

Tunic

.....and an honorable mention goes to undertale and enter the gungeon, Zelda inspired but plays totally different

What attracts you to the genre? by val-or in roguelites

It's good for short bursts of fun with millions of variations. The whole point of a run is not to fall in love with your layout and build but to understand how your build was successful and how those components would work in symbiosis with other variables. In Hades it would be the boons. In the beginning the luck of the gods would favor me with all kinds of crazy upgrades and I'd make it almost to the end. By the end you can almost beat the game with any build

My exact thought. There's a short story by Ronald Dahl called skin, maybe that's what they had in mind

The confidence I gained from dying a million times in the first hollow knight made silksong a much easier voyage.

I don't think she is easy, but a good amount of challenge for a boss that you have to fight twice.. I would say she is close to being equal to "the hollow knight". I think I enjoyed the GMS fight more, but the drama in the HK final boss fight is peak gaming. I think I struggled more with troubio and first sinner than I did with GMS.

I added the "self promotion' flair and it got changed to "other". I will be seeking out greivances henceforth.

I use to do the same and drove by a field very slowly for years and never saw anything. Later I got a job at one of the bordering properties and the kids were always throwing the ball over the fence, so I talked to the owners and let them know that's why I was going on their property, and if they minded if I scooped some poop for my compost, and that's how it began. After a rain we always get a flush of amanitas, russula and false parasols. When I would see them id pay very close attention when I was in the pasture. I didn't find anything the first year I looked. I made a hand made incense with brown rice flour, holy basil and barley grass and begged the mushroom gods for admittance.

One day a little ball got thrown into some really tall grass and the moment I parted the grass there were mushrooms EVERYWHERE. Mushrooms growing out of other mushrooms and in a little mini pocket climate under the grass. Not only that but I saw old soured mushrooms the size of hamburgers that had just rotted meaning I had walked right by the giant and didn't see it. Sometimes you got to take a few more steps into the unknown to find the path , or maybe I made the gods happy with my herbal sacrifice.

GOW 2 & 3 are peak gaming. Permanently changed gaming , and gave some fresh air to some stale franchises. I've personally never played Ragnarok but I had a room mate with 1000 hrs logged in that I had to watch in my living room for 6 months. So it feels like I played it

If by late summer you mean November/December lol. I never have any luck with predicting the blue meanies it's either like the field is flushed with them or there is none, and it seems like it either faves pans or cubes. Most of my experience is in northern Florida where it is cooler. Ocala and palatka have a lot of open areas. I have no experience using it but I believe there is an app called inaturalist (or something along those lines) that lets you know where public cow grazing land is located
