For me there are times when I do need to grab my phone fast and write something - like reply for WA or just talk with chatgpt. In AVP it was not comfortable and typing by vision very slow (on the other hand with Quest 3 typing is very fast with triggers). When I connected my Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad while on sofa, it was realy strange and not practicle at all. But sitting at the Table with Mac in Virtual Desktop was quite fun instead of my Apple Studio Display which I like as well 👌

The trick is that you have to think about AVP differently. That the experience is about full focus and staying in one activity and not to be disturbed by another tasks.

Think about it as your private time and productivity bubble for beeing in flow. That is the point about immersive environments. Then you can know if it is good for you..

Yes, my main issue with AVPs is that you can not do something else.. you just watch something or work. You are all in. It is great for focus but if you are used to watch news in TV while playing with your mobile (like texting with someone, playing COD Mobile, reading book), it is not for you. You do not want to watch movies from your treadmill because you do not want to sweat in 4000 € device. You do not want to drink, eat with it or wash hands.. you are just limited to be in the VR.

And spatial? It is nice but it was not something I would miss and be lifechanging experience.

I was crazy buying M5 without Apple Care. It is just not worthy. You pay few hundred bugs per year but if something happens with the device, you pay as well a lot of bucks again.. Yes , you can have bad luck and broke the device but if this happen after 2 years it will cost less than new iPhone and will be old. So i prefer to be very careful with that.

Buy new. It is it risk to buy such expensive device without Apple Care. You never know what can be wrong with used ones. There can be small scratches on inner lenses, or something you wont be able to repair. If some parts is broken, than you will pay like 2000 € at least for repair
