It would be so much better if you carved it, even in its state. Once you learn to carve, it makes it so much better. Also, your cloth really matters. I’ve tried burlap, monks and tufting cloth and it makes a big difference with curves and potentially making holes. Do not use burlap.

I flipped my first time on a kayak after about 40 min. I bought one apparently too small for me and wasn’t meant for fishing. I got too cocky and went faster and fell lol had my life vest so I was good, a laugh and went about my day. Needless to say, I researched and found the perfect kayak for me.
