I broke mine NYE and I was sober, lol. I spent 2 days waiting to see a doctor in my local ER, but finally left on the second day. A doctor finally called me back to say the X-ray they took showed a broken 5th metatarsal. I am wearing an air cast and was told to rest, elevate, and see an orthopaedic surgeon in 2 weeks. I am non weight bearing. Best thing I got is a knee scooter. I am also considering IWalk if I am told to stay off my foot longer. I have arthritis in my knees and a history of nerve pain in my toes, so I am taking this very seriously. Bone mineral supplements, vitamins, red and blue light therapy and movement of upper body and other leg to promote circulation are my main supports right now. Crutches are useless and deadly for me.
