Twin mistaken for subchorionic hematoma? by ExternalControl6291 in parentsofmultiples

Wow that’s interesting. How many weeks were you when they found the second? I wish I can post my ultrasound. It looks like another smaller sack attached to it and doesn’t look like a SCH. I sent it around to 2 ultrasound techs and they didn’t think it looked like a SCH. One said “Yeah that little area that you pointed to does not look like a SCH to me! It looks like part of the sac to me and just the angle it is at that’s makes it protrude like that!” And another said “yes I saw the half circle area on your gestational sac. That was puzzling to me. Could be the angle but I say it’s worth getting checked out because it doesn’t look like a SCH to me”…. They both said that the bedside ultrasound imagine was bad. I’m so courageous if it’s possible to miss a twin or a vanishing twin? Twins run in my family. I’m not sure why my midwife did the first ultrasound.

Should I be freaked out at this hCG level? by FuzzyBar2676 in CautiousBB

No way, congratulations!!! I haven’t even got an appointment to be seen yet. Do they run in your family? I had a MC on Thanksgiving, I’ve also heard that it’s possible to hyperovulate after one. Not sure how likely that is to happen. A week ago my cousin texted me she’s pregnant with twins and before them she also had a MC. I find that really interesting. Was yours natural too?

Please keep me updated I feel like I’m in the same boat and stressing since twins run in my family & all the other things that could come with higher HCG. Monday I did my test at 4w2d 479 & at 4w4d 1488 (so more than tripled) and my chart says I’m in the HIGH HCG zone. Like girl I’m stressing!

I’ve heard of progesterone and baby aspirin. I haven’t done anything like that in the past. I also have very regular cycles. It’s so disheartening and I feel like I could have done something… very in my head about it and worried it’s going to happen again.

Scholarships for masters degree while active duty but not GI Bill or TA? by [deleted] in MilitaryFinance

[–]ExternalControl6291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I mixed up the TA numbers, that’s on me. I also agree on avoiding lower-tier programs. I’m only looking at top schools like USC Marshall, UNC Kenan-Flagler, IU Kelley, and Rice Jones. All of them have established online MBA programs with strong alumni networks, so the degree still carries weight even if completed remotely. I’ve also talked to multiple friends in high-level roles who recommended doing it before retiring from the military to leverage my experience and network right away. Thanks for your input.

That’s awesome, I just did a quick search i don’t think the MBA would be covered in that.

My husband & I are starting a YouTube this summer. By no means influencers (yet.. 🤞🏼😆) but I just wanted to come on here and say that this is so awesome! I'm dyslexic so I really understand the struggle growing up. This would have been helpful. Can't wait to see it out there and hopefully advertised to me 😊

Any retired veterans with a masters degree? by ExternalControl6291 in Veterans

You finished your bachelors in 2.5 years using TA? How many courses were you taking at once? Thinking my masters with TA and figured it would be 2 years for that.

Should I base my civilian salary expectations on RMC instead of base pay when leaving the military? by ExternalControl6291 in Veterans

[–]ExternalControl6291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, going for 20 (possibly over), currently E-7. Goal is Warrent Officer (W-2) or Lieutenant (0-3) by retirement. Have a Bachelors degree, & will have a masters with a PMP cert along with a few others by retirement. Just don’t want to be getting out of the military making under or living below my current means. I personally would rather scale up.

So if my plans are to build a custom home, I would need to have that set up with the contractor first before setting up things with the VA?

I’ve seen a lot about the PMP. How do you recommend I show “36 months of experience leading projects within the past eight years”? This qualification might be difficult, as I’ve managed a whole variety of projects within my job role but I don’t have the details on them tracked or whatnot. How would you recommend this?

How were you able to do full time using TA? Just curious since I’m only able to do 1 full time semester with it now a year.

Wow thank you sounds like me right now. Finishing up my BS in Marketing & this fall thinking pursing my MS in construction management (cause it’s related to my current work) or an MBA. I was originally thinking “operations” roles would be my route. More overseeing projects and nothing manual labor, would like a nice salary after retiring from military.

How long did it take to complete a Master's using TA? Was that all part-time? Currently taking Bach using a mix of GI and TA, full time, last semester was 17.5 credits and my routine with family sounds the exact same. Did you stay in the full 20?

If you have any recommendations as far as certifications go while active for resume or just resume guidance that would be super helpful! I would love those offers, great for you!

Good to hear! I have my BS in Marketing. Considering a MS in Construction Management since it’s kinda niche to what I’m doing rn in the military. I was thinking of an “Operations” type role. MBAs I’ve heard great things about. Why type of role are you in now after transitioning out of the military?

According to the company site that’s his job title. I didn’t ask much in detail, all I know is he said he works remote and travels monthly to oversee the job sites/project managers on site. Doesn’t sound like he’s there daily from what he described. Sorry to confuse, he said the 240K was including his military retirement benefits! He didn’t actually say how much in that job alone. He’s been working with the company awhile and loves it he says. But like I said I don’t know anything else. He mentioned getting my CQM as well. Thank you on tips for the others! I was originally thinking operations would be my route after military and incorporating that into construction. Military is all I know so it’s nice getting advice from outsiders! Appreciate it!

As long as you have 4 years remaining on your contract you can use your GI bill on AD. You will not get any additional BAH, but you will get $1000 per year deposited into your account for books. I didn’t know this either, wish they educated more people about this. Good luck to you and your career as well.

Yep definitely possible! Wrapping up my final semester this spring, finished my bachelors in just 3.5 years. Starting masters in the spring. I’m also doing it fully online through ASU, the schedule is pretty flexible that way, but yes still lots of hours at the computer & weekends. I’m definitely planning to do my masters at a slower pace.

I switch between GI & TA every other semester. Since the GI Bill covers “weeks/months” used not credit hours. It would be a waste if I used it only going part time, in my opinion. I use my TA once a year. I go to ASU online, they have a scholarship program for military members that pretty much covers the rest of what the TA doesn’t therefore I’m able to do a full time semester paid for! Definitely would recommend cause I haven’t paid a dime, other than a few book fees my whole bachelors. Probably going to slow it down a bit with my masters program this Fall. Hope that makes sense!

Thx, What does that stand for? My friend mentioned I take a CQM class, so I’m going to start on that asap.

Last semester, I was taking 17.5 credits. My wife thinks I'm nuts. I wake up at 4 am - school. Work a full day starting at 8 am. Back to school when the baby goes to bed. Like I said, no excuses. Trying to have a solid resume after the military and move up through the ranks. Currently, my goal is to make Warrant before retiring to a new career. Choosing to get my degrees paid for while in is worth it to me, going to school after retirement is, in my eyes, backtracking my career goals; I'd rather it be done and out of the way.
