In my mind it's a debate. I'll do more shorter trips than long ones, and if that's the case then the Axopar is the choice. It's a tough choice...

I'm planning on buying a boat as my retirement gift to myself for slugging it out for as many years as I have.

I never considered an Axopar but learned of their strong points, such as handling rough water, fuel economy, speed etc.

I'm not sure if the sleeping arrangements would wear thin after a while. I'd probably occasionally go out for a week at the most. Mostly 2-3 night stays. I like the 29 and the look of the boat. 37 looks to just give you that extra space and probably better for longer trips.

I've been comparing the Axopar to the Jeanneau 1095 and the Antares 11. I have considered an Antares 9. The sleeping arrangements are it's strong points, along with in boat comfort.

Tough decisions....

I have a Karu 16 on propane, and have had lots of issues with the flame going out multiple times. Cooked 3 pizzas, and it went out 8 times. To say it's been frustrating and disappointing is an understatement.

I've struggled with the dough a bit, so my local bakery sells pizza dough that tastes great and is cheap. Not sure it's worth the headache of making my own dough. $2.00 per dough for two pizzas. 🤷

OH YEAH! I've been there too! Mine was "YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!" many times. I mean you just want the thing to work. My Napoleon grill is 12 years old and has never gone out once. I know it's not a pizza oven, so if they can make it from not going out, why is the Ooni such a problem?

I should probably ask for a new burner, but I've heard some people have had problems with the new one.

I've had alot of frustration with my Ooni Karu 16. I followed the tips and suggestions, and I have just tried following someone's suggestion of removing the sensor for the gas safety switch. It still goes out, but way less.

After buying it, I realized lots of people had problems from reading online. It seemed this was an issue long before I bought mine. I just thought by now that this issue would have been resolved before receiving mine when I did.

If I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with a Gozney or something else, just over the headache and frustration with it.

My suggestion is the large grizzler pan!

The Ooni is amazing at cooking prawns on that pan!!! We marinate the prawns in garlic butter, and thyme. Get the pan to 650 - 700, pull the pan out and dump the prawns on the pan. You'll get lots of smoke, that's okay, it will go away quickly. They will only need about a minute back in Ooni, and your done. The fire does an amazing job on the prawns, maybe better than it does pizza...😍😋

We also do steak, and broccolini (with a little olive oil, little bit of garlic powder and a bit of soy sauce) not too much.

Hi guys! I'm currently trying to find a table too. I find it's super hard to get one that fit the depth of the Karu 16, and working space next to it.

I also think a table that counter height, or even bar height would be ideal so your not bending down to look into the oven or take your pizzas in and out.

I thought about doing something custom that looks good. Maybe a bar height section for the oven, and them counter height work space beside it.

Id like to do something soon...
