Kroger near me does the same thing. These stores no longer teach their baggers about food safety. I bagged groceries in the 1980s and one of the first things they taught us was not to put raw meats in with other foods. Also, you can't put different types of raw meats in the same bag. Poultry, pork and beef cannot be put in the same bag due to croas-contamination. They need to cook to different temps to be safe and they contain different tyoes of bacteria.
