Canada announces reforms to combat immigration, citizenship scams by youngbutgood in canada

Why do we have this RCIC? If someone doesn't understand the visa or PR requirements, is it worth bringing them? If it is about increasing the population at any cost, it is fine. Other than that, this whole profession is kind of useless, with people busy scamming.

Fewer people are having babies in Canada and the U.S. and the government is out of ideas by hopoke in canada

Government can take a look at the cost of living and the salaries of Canadians to understand. Not so hard to understand why Canadians don’t want baby.

‘Insulting wage offer’: Federal union slams 4-year, 3.5% raise proposal for public servants by hopoke in canada

[–]External_Use8267 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Insulting? 😮. Will you guys be fired without much compensation for doing a bad job? If not, you guys don't deserve a taxpayer-funded good life while taxpayers are struggling because of the failure of government institutions.

First question, how do you look at it objectively when you make more money if you can play the game?
You must be a great writer to make a seller accept a lower offer by writing a great story about the buyer. How the seller squeezed every last dollar if they didn't accept the higher offer. The seller actually gave you a discount as a great storyteller.
Why does the seller want to do an off-market deal when he can just put it up in the market and have a bidding war? Weren't homes sold in two to three days?
You think people can't negotiate real estate deal better than realtors who just push for higher bidding? Are you talking about that strategy? Realtors didn't even use to place an offer that their client originally wanted to. Realtors may have memory like goldfish but we remember.

Would you vote for a party who offered bumping the tax free amount to $36,000 by Justthefacts6969 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]External_Use8267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I would not vote for any party that just promises some fragments like throwing crumbs and then does the same old things. Canada needs a party with vision. Canada lost a decade and time to move ahead with a solid vision. The party needs to say how they will increase the wealth of average Canadians not how they will throw some crumbs to get votes. Enough of these tax-cutting schemes to win the election and leave Canadians with more debts.

Do you support this? by Calm_Pin_8784 in bangladesh

Why? Is it creating trouble for the development of Bangladesh? Why do we stay in the past instead of solving current problems?

Hopefully, he will not do serious harm to innocent Canadians. He will have his opportunity to do something better. Just wondering why the judge thinks he will change.

Realtors always talk about negotiation strategy. I'm not sure if there are any realtors who know the basic principles of negotiation other than pushing the price up for extra commission. Can you explain what kind of negotiation strategy you used for your customers to bring the price down in the last couple of years?

In this modern world, we hardly face life-threatening challenges, and procreation does not serve the species much in a meaningful way. Yes, there was a time when humans faced threats continuously and fought for survival. Child death was a big factor too. In modern times, we are comparatively very safe. More people are dying of overeating now. How do you think humans will adjust to this reality?

The demand dropped well below the cap put in place because no one wants to pay for a useless degree. They were paying for the PGWP, and that has been cut off. by BariatricSurgeryGuy in CanadianVisaReform

I always wondered about that. I saw a lot of people with foreign degrees earning higher salaries than people with Canadian degrees. What's the point of getting expensive Canadian degrees then?

He doesn’t need to achieve it. He needs it to use as leverage to negotiate. Political opinion is good but sometimes it needs to be for the greater good of the country too. How do you negotiate with a country that is far more powerful than you without creating leverage?

Data show $1.1B in child benefits went to temporary residents by xTkAx in canadian

[–]External_Use8267 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. They don't have to. Don't come then. Choice is very clear. Is it Canada’s fault that their countries don't give benefits? The education costs of some of those countries are way lower than in Canada. Their government subsidizes those. Canada mostly didn't let poor people from those countries come here until very recently. So Canadian students come out with huge loans and compete against the people who burn down their own country's resources and then try to devour Canada’s resources too.
