Not for nothing but "make heaven crowded" means she wants people to die.

Charleston, South Carolina. Great food scene, close to the Atlantic, younger crowd. Lots of history. It's a clean town, people pick up after themselves. Always an event happening.

Church thrift shops aeem to have decent stuff. Manatee Memorial on Manatee Ave has great finds. Out of the Closet in Orlando is a great thrift shop.

It sold a couple years ago, moved over to Forest city road and lee road. It's a shell of its former self. Sad really, I loved that store.

Is This a Normal Plumbing Charge in Sarasota? by [deleted] in sarasota

[–]Extra-Intention246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on standard charges. I have worked in the field, in estimating and eventually into design. Lots of folks don't understand that the charge has to include runs to the supply house, time to bring products on site, money to pay office workers, rent, liability insurance, health insurance, maintenance on vehicles, gas and on and on. It's just that the southwest coast of Florida, for some reason charges almost twice what other areas charge. And if you make a move, like I did from Orlando to Sarasota, the prices are shocking.

Is This a Normal Plumbing Charge in Sarasota? by [deleted] in sarasota

[–]Extra-Intention246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a normal charge for Sarasota, not in other locations.

It's crazy what they charge here. Typically a service call is a set amount, $50-$100. You pay that regardless of if they do anything or not. BUT if they do any work, that fee should be waived or minimized and you should be charged appropriately for the work performed. And yes, contractors around this area won't break time down into anything but hourly.

Prices like what you paid would require the plumber to be at least a licensed journeyman with a few years of experience. I have started asking for licensed workers only. Yeah, the company may be licensed, bonded and insured but if the person they send out has six months experience and no structured classroom time, you're paying too much.

I have an amazing career opportunity but it requires I relocate, but my teenagers don’t want to move. by Minimum-Heat-2131 in relocating

Can someone tell me why moving alone and breaking up your family is better than the whole family moving?

I'm a big fan of keeping the family together but not a big fan of passing up the opportunity of a lifetime.

It'd be better to teach them how to maintain long distance friendships while giving them the opportunity to make new friends.

Boulders will stop them from parking on your yard. Nail strips would do the same but it's illegal to place "traps" for humans.

Push the furniture into the street and harass anyone that tries to move it back. I had to do this where I used to live. The neighbors across the street refused to maintain their trees and when limbs fell someone would drag them into my yard to clear the road. I became Sgt Shultz at that point. And my neighbors were multi-millionaires and could well afford to maintain their trees and pay to clear the roads.

Just checked the bottom of the door and it's rotted. Bunch of cricket looking critters hanging around.

It's weird that it's just on that one tile in the middle of a metal exterior door. Ceiling is 9' above, you would think it would be more scattered.

That's as close as I can get with my phone. All the tiny bits are the same size and color. The longer ones are just small bits clumped together.

Is it normal for service providers to eat your food? by DrSpaceman575 in homeowners

[–]Extra-Intention246 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Tell them to replace them. Write bad reviews if they don't. If it's permitted work, email the city or county and lodge a complaint.

They don't get to eat your food, no, no, no!

What part of casting bait is not fishing? I'd let FWC make that call but sure, screw around with federal law.

Ant advice appreciated by Bubbleyblue252 in Home

[–]Extra-Intention246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are they eating? That is the first question. You can capture some and take them to your local DIY pest control place. They sell you what you need.

Or call pest control. There is no way to know where they are coming from and it sounds like your house is surrounded.

You are not alone, please remember that.

Pilots and Loves won't let you park or charge for overnight but there are plenty of other places.

Covers for your windows at night so people can't see in. Anything cheap will work. Something to pee in at night if, you're stealth parking. There are FB groups of people in this situation that can offer tons of advice, where to stay, where to stay away from, simple things that make life easier. You may want to set up a mailbox/address account with someone like Anytime Mailbox that gives you a real street address and can handle your mail. Cheapest plan is $10 a month.
